๐ŸŽ—๏ธToday, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we recognize that conversations about su***de and mental health can affect each of us differently.

Content Note: This post discusses su***de and mental health. Please take care while reading and access support if needed.

At LLGAMH, we are committed to fostering safe, supportive spaces where people feel seen, heard, and connected. We honor the experiences of those who may be struggling, those who have supported others, and those who have been impacted by loss.

Together, we can help reduce stigma, encourage compassionate conversations, and remind one another that support is available.

If you or someone you know is experiencing thoughts of su***de or is in emotional distress, help is available. Call or text 988, Canada's Su***de Crisis Helpline, for free, confidential support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Let's change the narrative through understanding, connection, and hope. ๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

๐Ÿ’™ Every conversation matters. Every connection matters.

On International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the lives lost to overdose and acknowledge the families, friends and communities who carry that loss with them every day.

We also recognize that behind every statistic is a person - someone with a story, relationships, hopes and people who care about them.

Overdose is preventable, and stigma should never stand in the way of someone seeking help. Compassion, connection and access to support can save lives.

Today, we remember without judgment, support without stigma, and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that people who use substances are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

๐Ÿ’œEvery life matters. Every person matters.

Weโ€™re pleased to share LLGAMH has reached an agreement with OPSEU Local 441, bringing the strike to an end.

Staff will return to work on August 24, 2026. Weโ€™ll spend the first week reconnecting as a team and preparing to restart client services in a phased approach the week of August 31, 2026.

During this transition, supports will continue for clients in group homes and treatment homes, including the HART Hub, along with housing supports for current clients and vulnerable community members, select psychiatry and psychotherapy supports, Brief Services, and modified Therapeutic Justice programming.

For Brief Services, call 613-341-2476 and leave your name, phone number, and a brief description of the support needed. No referral or appointment is required.

If you are experiencing a crisis, call or text 9-8-8, or call 9-1-1 for emergency services.

๐Ÿ“ฃHART Hub construction update๐Ÿ“ฃ

The opening of the HART Hub Leeds Grenville site is now scheduled for late September 2026. This timeline shift is due to a delay in the landlordโ€™s construction work, which is needed to prepare the space for client accommodations and programming.

In the meantime, we continue to support clients in their long-term recovery at the HART Hub Lanark site, and our team looks forward to expanding to our second HART Hub location this fall.
