Morva did a wonderful presentation about how to keep your brain active. She started with a simple activity and explained how this task limits or enhances your creativity or thought process. Some key take away points were to engage in lifelong learning, staying socially connected and exercise regularly.

We indulged in midway magic at our Summer Carnival Social Series event!

Ron, The Party Magician performed his greatest tricks for us. Then we indulged in the best summer carnival food. Finally, we finished with all the carnival games including our most popular basketball toss game. Thanks to all the staff who ran the games and the three winners of our grand prizes- Carmen, Shirley and Nancy!

📚📖✍️Beyond Book Club: Resident Authors

We are very lucky to have Maighread MacKay, an award winning author, as a resident at the Court at Brooklin. She won a bronze medal from the Global Book Awards for her novel "Finding Charli" in the category of visionary fiction. Her second win was a gold medal from the Fire Bird Book Awards for "The Haunting of Hawks Ridge Hall." This Canadian author hails from Durham Region and we are very proud of her!
