Today I led my first Forest Therapy walk of the season for Peterborough Hospice, and as always, it was everything I needed it to be.

There is something incredibly powerful about slowing down, stepping into nature, and giving ourselves permission to simply be.

No goals to achieve. No expectations. Just noticing, breathing, and reconnecting.

Each walk reminds me that healing doesn’t always come from doing more - it comes from creating space to listen, reflect, and be present.

I’m grateful to continue offering these volunteer walks with Peterborough Hospice and to witness the comfort, connection, and peace that nature can provide.

If you’ve been curious about Forest Therapy, or if it’s been a while since you’ve visited my website, I’ve recently updated my services to include this offering. I invite you to explore how guided time in nature can support your well-being, reduce stress, and help you reconnect with yourself and the natural world.

Nature has a way of meeting us exactly where we are. 🌿

STRAWBERRY LOVERS, THIS ONE’S FOR YOU! 🍓

There’s nothing quite like fresh local strawberries, and every year I find myself looking for new ways to use them beyond smoothies and shortcake.

So, for next week’s Weekly Wellness with Jodi, I’ve put together a little collection of 10 strawberry-inspired recipes that I’ll be sharing with my email community.

You’ll find a mix of breakfasts, lunches, snacks, a drink, and even a dinner recipe… all featuring this delicious seasonal fruit.

If you’re already receiving Weekly Wellness with Jodi, keep an eye on your inbox next week. 🍓

And if you’d like to receive my weekly nutrition tips, recipes, and wellness inspiration, you can join through the link in my bio.

Now tell me... what’s your favourite way to eat strawberries? 🍓👇

I’m learning that growth usually comes with a healthy dose of discomfort.

Mountain biking isn’t new to me, but pushing my limits, trying new features, and becoming a better rider takes me outside my comfort zone.

And maybe that’s why I love it so much.

I love the focus it demands. I love the feeling of doing something that scares me a little. And I love the moment when I make it through and realize I’m capable of more than I thought.

A little fear. A lot of learning. And a slightly unhealthy addiction to challenging myself. 🙈🚵‍♀️

Friendly reminder👇

The health you want is hiding in the habits you’re avoiding. 👀

The “boring” stuff works.

•Building balanced meals
•Planning ahead
•Drinking enough water
•Moving your body daily
•Getting enough sleep
•Managing stress

No magic pill. No quick fix.

Just small choices repeated often enough to change your life.

Which habit needs a little more attention right now?👇

If you’re ready to stop starting over and create healthy habits that actually fit your lifestyle, book a complimentary discovery call through the link in my bio.

Blood sugar can be sneaky😏

Because sometimes it makes us believe:
•coffee = breakfast
•lunch is optional
•3pm cravings are normal
•a bedtime snack is non-negotiable

Don’t listen to your sneaky blood sugar
Keep eating balanced meals and taking care of yourself. 🫶

Confession time from your neighbourhood nutritionist… 🙋‍♀️

Over the winter, my weight trended up a wee bit.
I pulled out my summer clothes and let’s just say… they’re feeling a little snug these days. 😅

Yes… nutritionists are human too. We don’t magically live on kale and discipline.

So I’m going back to the basics that help me feel like myself again.

Here are 5 things I’m focusing on right now:

1️⃣ Eating BEFORE walking the dog.
I realized I was walking first and eating later. Switching it up so I move AFTER meals = better blood sugar balance, energy, and digestion.

2️⃣ Portion reality check.
Gentle reminder to self: Ido NOT need to eat the same portions as my husband.
I’m not obsessing over it, but I am paying more attention.

3️⃣ Water.
Making sure that for sure… I am getting my water in and ACTUALLY measuring it.

4️⃣ 15 minutes of breathing room.
The birds are singing. The sun is out.
I’m spending at least 15 minutes a day to breathe, clear my mind, and notice the beauty around me.

5️⃣ Building balanced meals.
Making sure each meal includes a healthy balance of protein, fibre, and healthy fats.
Nothing fancy. Just the stuff that actually helps keep energy, cravings, and mood more steady.

No extremes.
No “summer body” nonsense.
Just small habits that help me feel stronger, calmer, and more comfortable in my own skin again.
