Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine

Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine In 2004 the Association's name changed to CFPM. Our goal is unification of the profession and representation of all chiropodists and podiatrists in Canada.

The CFPM was created in 1999 under the name CFFS by a small group of practitioners who recognized a need for a national association that was open to all chiropodists and podiatrists in Canada. We believe this would increase the profile of our profession both nationally and internationally. The CFPM strives to work towards national unity in the areas of education and qualifications. What CFPM Does:

•Liaises with government agencies and other professional associations
•Offers continuing educational opportunities
•Helps practitioners in their day to day practices
•Produces a national journal to disseminate information
•Offers public education of the role of Podiatry Promotes national Podiatric unity

🩹 June is Wound Care Awareness Month 🩹

Did you know that many serious foot complications can be prevented through early detection and proper wound care?

Chiropodists and Podiatrists play a critical role in helping patients prevent, assess, and manage foot wounds. Whether you are living with diabetes, poor circulation, neuropathy, or other risk factors, regular foot assessments can help identify problems before they become serious.

✔ Check your feet daily
✔ Never ignore cuts, blisters, or skin breakdown
✔ Wear properly fitting footwear
✔ Seek professional care early

Early intervention can help prevent infections, hospitalizations, and amputations while preserving mobility and quality of life.

This Wound Care Awareness Month, take a moment to prioritize your foot health and encourage your patients, family members, and community to do the same.

Healthy Feet. Better Lives.
