Just wrapped up the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies Conference 2026 () at the University of British Columbia () - also in one of the most beautiful cities in Canada: .
And as always, it did not disappoint - on so many levels!
There is a unique type of joy I get when I attend these conferences.
⚡ They reignite that curiosity I have for the field of psychology in its entirety.
🔥 The knowledge shared by experts in the field revive in me that fire to continue to learn and grow.
🥰 And above all, they remind me of how much I absolutely LOVE this work.
I don’t know if that kind of excitement makes me a nerd, lol. I know my sister will definitely say yes, but I don’t qualify as a nerd for my husband.
I was also happy to meet Adhm Zahran for round 2 after we first met in ’s conference 2025 in Banff. And I was SO PROUD to see what Moody Abdul has done with .ca - pure brilliance and an incredible addition for therapists and to the field of ! It was lovely catching up with you guys. Always nice to see some familiar faces!
One last thank you to CACBT- ACTCC for creating this enriching space and for the quality speakers you choose for us year after year. And thank you for making it IN-PERSON - Yes, PLEASE! I can’t wait for next year’s!
TLDR: I LOVE conferences! And I love how they are yet another source of confirmation that I sure am where I belong.
