🌞 The sun is finally out, and the grounds at Ocean View, Forest Lawn, Victory Gardens, and Boal Chapel are all looking beautiful. It’s a wonderful time of year to visit and spend some peaceful moments in the parks.

Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, a cause that hits incredibly close to home for me.

Working with older adults every single day—and having elderly family members I love deeply—I see firsthand just how much wisdom, resilience, and heart our seniors bring to our lives. They deserve to age with absolute dignity, security, and respect.

Unfortunately, elder abuse and financial exploitation often happen in the shadows. It is heartbreaking, but it is preventable.

For me, this day isn't just about awareness; it's a daily commitment. Protection starts with connection. By checking in, listening closely, and staying present, we can break the isolation that so often leaves older adults vulnerable.

To my fellow caregivers, advocates, and everyone loving and supporting an elder: thank you for keeping our seniors safe, valued, and heard. Let’s keep looking out for them. 💜
