Dear parents and caregivers,

We are pleased to be offering a group play therapy and nature experience for children ages 3-5 in the fall season. This is with the intention to foster relationship and build social skills within a safe, supportive & understanding environment in the form of a 2 hour drop off program. A "step down" from a more intensive 1:1 therapy experience and an opportunity for an outside the home experience without a full time program enrolment in Caledon East.

We are so grateful to be opening a space to begin in person sessions. Hidden among acres of forest, you can allow yourself to quiet the external world to access your internal world. hope to create a space that truly is a home away from home for you to reach your deepest parts, soothe your inner child & connect with your core self.

Play therapy and filial therapy are core practices we offer. I am happy to meet with you to see if this is the space for your child and family to connect.

*Virtual and phone session will remain to be an offering as an option for those preferring to be home based and/or are not in surrounding areas.

Why “Home Away”?

I’ve always been a home body - it is my safe haven, where I feel I can be most vulnerable. Although that is not everyone’s experience. There may be another place that was your escape and fulfilled your need for acceptance, comfort and safety. Or you may have never had a space resembling these feelings and have in turn built walls keeping not only others out, but your true self suppressed.

Beginning therapy may feel intimidating, uncomfortable or scary… I’ve been there too. How do you bare your soul to a perfect stranger?
Home Away is intended to hold space for you exactly as you come. We place emphasis on the relationship between therapist and client to ensure you are brought into a space of acceptance, non judgment, and belonging.

Over time you may allow yourself to seek your truth and begin healing within🫶🏼
