Having a professional assess your injury and give you a specific exercise routine is very important.

Here are 3 tips when performing exercise:

1. Be diligent with performing the exercise correctly
2. Know your limits and don’t over do it

✋ Soft-tissue release

This is a hands on technique that is used to assess and treat the tissue of the body whether it is muscle, ligament, tendon or fascia.

With this technique, pressure is applied to the problematic tissue using your hands or a tool.

This technique works by breaking down the scar tissue and improving blood flow to the area to re-establish optimal length, resilience and function of the tissue.

💪Core bracing

It is a common conception to have strong core muscles in order to prevent injury. The most fundamental part in creating proper core strength is learning to brace and activate the transverse abdominis muscle.

Once this is mastered, exercises can be performed while bracing to help strengthen the core. It is important to progressively increase the difficulty in the core exercises allowing the muscles to adapt and get stronger
