Today is World Autism Day ๐๐
A day to accept, understand, and raise awareness about autism and the beautiful families navigating this journey.
Autistic individuals are not โlessโ โ they are simply different.
Their brains work in unique ways, but they are kind, capable, intelligent, and truly special.
As a mother, I choose to speak up, raise awareness, and advocate for my child and for every neurodivergent individual. Today, I want to share and break a few common myths:
โจ Myth #1: Autism is a curse
Autism is NOT a curse. It is NOT caused by bad deeds.
It is simply a different way of being.
As parents, I believe we are chosen โ chosen because we are strong enough to love, support, and nurture these incredible children.
Our children are not a burden โ they are a badges. Wear them with pride.
โจ Myth #2: Autistic individuals cannot live a normal life
With the right support, understanding, and love, autistic individuals can live independent, successful, and fulfilling lives.
They navigate the world differently โ and thatโs okay.
Itโs our responsibility to make the world more inclusive and compassionate.
โจ Myth #3: Neurodivergent individuals belong in separate spaces
Every child deserves the right to learn, grow, and succeed alongside others.
They deserve equal opportunities in schools, universities, and careers.
Inclusion is not a privilege โ itโs a right.
๐ To all parents of neurodivergent children:
You are strong. You are chosen. You are doing amazing.
Never give up. Keep going. And donโt forget to take care of your own mental health too.
๐ซ Final message:
Love them. Believe in them. Support them.
Because different is not less โ itโs beautiful.
