We are SO excited for tomorrow's big event! Please come down to FACE to celebrate 30 years!

🎉 FACE Alberta is celebrating 30 years of making a difference in Calgary!

For three decades, FACE Alberta has helped children and adults with neuromotor disabilities build independence, confidence, mobility, and meaningful connections through Conductive Education.

To celebrate this milestone, they’re inviting the community to a free family-friendly carnival this Saturday, July 25!

FACE is thrilled to welcome Ollee Owens to our 30th Anniversary Carnival!
A powerhouse vocalist and soulful storyteller, Ollee brings a blend of Americana, roots, blues, and rock that’s as emotionally rich as it is electrifying. Her music is shaped by lived experience — exploring themes of hope, healing, resilience, and the strength found in community and connection.

Originally from New Bothwell, Manitoba and now proudly based in Calgary, Ollee has built a reputation for deeply moving performances that fuse raw honesty with dynamic musicianship. Her 2024 album Nowhere to Hide earned national attention for its stirring vocals, compelling songwriting, and genre‑blending sound. Whether performing with her full band or delivering an intimate acoustic moment, Ollee’s presence is magnetic — inviting audiences into songs that feel both personal and universal.

Beyond the stage, Ollee is a passionate advocate for mental health, social justice, and community empowerment. Her work reflects a belief that music can be a catalyst for compassion, courage, and meaningful change.

FACE is thrilled to welcome Justine Giles to our 30th Anniversary Carnival!

We’re so excited to add this incredible Calgary-based singer-songwriter and teaching artist to our music lineup. Justine’s work bridges music, arts education, and community engagement — and her performances are filled with heart, storytelling, and connection.

Alongside an active career as a performing and recording artist, Justine has designed and facilitated songwriting workshops for multiple local nonprofits and recently served as a mentor through the Folk On The Rocks festival in Yellowknife. Passionate about accessible and inclusive creative experiences, her work often centers youth mentorship, storytelling, and creative empowerment.

She was named Solo Artist of the Year at the 2024 YYC Music Awards, and her contributions to Calgary’s arts community have earned nominations for The Calgary Awards, the Western Canadian Music Awards, and the YYC Music Awards for 2026.
