✨ This weekend holds a really special place in my heart. ✨
I have two very meaningful events coming up:
☀️ Saturday — Peace in the Park
💜 Sunday — Recovery Day Calgary
These events may look different on the surface, but for me, they are deeply connected.
I struggled with suicidal thoughts from a very young age, long before addiction ever entered my life. For years, I carried pain I didn't know how to process, and eventually I found myself using substances as a way to escape it.
Recovery changed my life.
It didn't just give me sobriety — it gave me the opportunity to heal, reconnect with myself, find purpose, and create a life I genuinely love living.
So much of what has become Divine Nation has grown out of that healing journey. The meditation, yoga, energy work, oracle cards, connection with nature, ceremony, journaling and spiritual practices I share are also things I use in my own life. Even today, these are some of the things that help bring me back to myself when I'm struggling. 🌿✨
That's why I feel so passionate about bringing Divine Nation to Peace in the Park and offering these services. I know what it's like to be in a dark place and desperately need a little light.
If it weren't for Recovery, I wouldn't be here to have the opportunity to be part of Peace in the Park. In a really beautiful way, I wouldn't have one without the other. 💜
Sometimes healing is a huge transformation. And sometimes it's much smaller—a stranger giving you a flower when you look sad, finding a little rock that says “Spread the Love,” sitting by the water, meditating, breathing, and finding your way back to yourself.
Sometimes it's just enough light to take the next step. ☀️
If you're struggling, please reach out. You don't have to carry it alone. ❤️
