At Exhale, Pride isn’t just something acknowledged for one month. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to creating safer, affirming, inclusive spaces where people can show up fully as themselves.

Therapy should never require someone to shrink, filter, or explain away parts of their identity in order to feel safe. We know that for many LGBTQIA+ individuals, mental health cannot be separated from experiences of stigma, rejection, discrimination, identity exploration, family dynamics, safety, and belonging.

You deserve care that sees the full context of your experience. You deserve spaces where you feel respected, affirmed, and supported.

Never underestimate the power of community.

One of the most meaningful parts of Bloom Into Practice wasn’t just the education — it was watching therapists connect with people who truly get it.

The highs. The self-doubt. The imposter syndrome. The business stress. The “what am I even doing?” moments.

Private practice can feel incredibly lonely sometimes, which is why spaces like this matter so much.

We believe in community over competition. There is room for all of us to grow, succeed, learn, and support one another. So grateful for every therapist who showed up vulnerably, openly, and intentionally 🤍

POV: your entire life becomes one giant optimization project.

Trying to:
work 40+ hours, heal your inner child, hit 10k steps, eat 120g of protein, drink enough water, take magnesium glycinate, maintain glowing skin, regulate your nervous system, answer texts, keep your house clean, see your friends, be emotionally available, limit screen time, AND somehow still wake up at 5am to do a “slow intentional morning routine.”

Meanwhile your nervous system is like: “respectfully… absolutely not.”

Like why does being “healthy” suddenly feel like managing a professional athlete’s training schedule while also being a functioning adult under capitalism?

At some point wellness stopped feeling supportive and started feeling like a full-time performance review.

Maybe you’re not bad at self-care. Maybe you’re just tired of turning every part of your existence into a self-improvement project.

Some of the things we were taught in school about “professionalism” felt so rigid and disconnected from actual human relationships.

Obviously boundaries matter.

But we would argue that warmth, humanity, laughter, coffee, authenticity, and relational safety are key elements. Sometimes they’re part of what makes therapy actually work

Professionalism and warmth are not opposites.

I’ll never forget the time my first therapist told me details of her family vacation and showed me a photo. That was what I took away most from that relationship, and I still remember it 15 years later.

In just 7 days, we’ll be gathering with therapists, private practice owners, and mental health professionals for a day centered around connection, sustainability, honesty, and community.

Bloom was created because private practice can feel incredibly isolating at times. So many of us are carrying the emotional weight of this work while also trying to navigate business decisions, burnout, growth, finances, boundaries, and the pressure to “do it all well.”

This event is a reminder that you were never meant to build your practice alone.
