Body composition analysis is a quick, painless scan that provides in-depth information about body fat, muscle mass, and bone density. A bone mineral densitometry test, also known as a BMD test, is an enhanced form of low energy X-ray technology specifically designed to detect possible bone loss or Osteoporosis. 🔍

Speak to your doctor to see if you would benefit from a Whole-Body Composition Scan or Bone Mineral Densitometry test.

Children are NOT little versions of adults. Their anatomy and physiology differ greatly, and the application of imaging protocols for adults is often unsuitable for a child. All our equipment and procedures have been developed specifically for infants and children. Our Marlborough clinic offers kid’s imaging for the services of ultrasound, X-ray, and pain management. Our Marlborough Radiologist and team specialize in diagnostic imaging for kids so you can have confidence that your family is in good hands visiting CDC!

🎀 Screening vs. Diagnostic Mammogram – What’s the difference?

A screening mammogram is routine and used to check for breast changes in women with no symptoms. A diagnostic mammogram is targeted and used when there are symptoms like a lump, pain, or changes in breast tissue.

At Canada Diagnostic Centres, we perform both types of mammograms with compassionate care and advanced technology.

Did you also know that under Alberta’s Screening for Life program, patients in target age groups (45-74 of age) can currently self-refer for a screening mammogram which means you do not need a requestion from your doctor to book a screening mammogram. Learn more about this program at: https://screeningforlife.ca/breast/ or call CDC today to book your appointment / learn if you can self-refer!
