Thank you to WCCAC for sharing these beautiful flowers with our residents and helping bring extra colour to our gardens for the Blooms for Blessings event during Seniors’ Week.🌷

The gardens looked wonderful, and we are truly grateful for your generous flower donation. Each flower was made with care, and it was heartwarming to see how much blessing they brought to the day. This thoughtful gesture means a lot to our residents and to our Wing Kei community.

During Seniors’ Week, we were honoured to recognize thirteen centenarians across our three sites. Each one carries a lifetime of stories and wisdom, and their resilience continues to inspire our Wing Kei community.

We are thankful to Allison and Madaline, 3rd year Guides from the 119th Unit of Girl Guides in Calgary, for sharing a meaningful afternoon with our residents at Wing Kei.

Through piano music, games, and warm conversations, they brought joy to many seniors. It is wonderful to see young volunteers sharing their time and kindness with our community. Moments like this remind us how meaningful intergenerational connection can be.

Today marks the beginning of Seniors’ Week in Alberta. To honour our amazing seniors, many volunteer groups and community associations including Yue Yin Singing Group, Encore K*m Yin Nga Jui and the Hong Kong Musician Association, will join us with joyful performances throughout the week.

At Wing Kei, we are reminded of the heart of our mission: to honour every resident’s dignity, cherish their life stories, and support them to live abundantly in God’s grace.

We were excited to celebrate with our family of staff, families, supporters and collaborators at the 2026 Report to the Community on May 14, 2026. Over 70 participants came to see and hear what living abundantly means here at Wing Kei.

We were very grateful to announce that the Government of Alberta has selected Wing Kei as one of eleven projects to receive funding through a $23.4 million provincial grant. This grant will provide an additional 54 spaces at Wing Kei Highland Park, which is set to open in September. With this addition, Wing Kei Highland Park will serve Calgarians through 187 continuing care spaces and 16 hospice spaces, for a total of 203 spaces.

We are who we are because of the incredible community that witnesses our work and nurtures us. Thank you for supporting our mission to ensure all can live abundantly in God’s grace.

Our Mother’s Day celebration was filled with sweet moments as residents enjoyed handmade flowers and songs together.

Today, we honour all the amazing mothers and mother figures in our Wing Kei family. Thank you for the love you continue to share with those around you. Happy Mother’s Day!

A heartfelt thank you to the ECSSEN students for visiting Wing Kei Greenview and sharing such beautiful performances with our residents.

The mix of Chinese instruments and classical music brought a fresh and meaningful experience to the day. We could see the care and effort behind each performance, and our residents truly enjoyed it.
