Did you know most Canadians aren’t getting enough fibre?

Fibre is important for keeping our guts happy & healthy.

Eating enough fibre helps with keeping our bowel movements “regular” in consistency and frequency.

There are many health benefits associated with eating enough fibre:
- lowered LDL cholesterol
- improved health of the gut microbiome
- reduction in colorectal cancer risk
- fullness and satiety which helps with energy and weight management

Swipe to find out which foods are high in fibre and how to get more fibre into your diet!

If you are struggling to add the right amount of fibre to your diet or need guidance on how to incorporate it, reach out to our dietitians for a FREE discovery call to see how they can help.

⚖️ As parents, it’s natural to worry about whether our kids are eating enough—and to want to make sure they’re getting the nutrition they need to grow and thrive.

🏡 But what we feed our kids is only part of the story. How we talk about food and how we approach mealtimes can shape their relationship with food, too.

In our newest blog post, Does it Matter How We Talk to Kids About Food? A Dietitian Explains, Caroline explores the difference between responsive and non-responsive feeding, common phrases we may have heard growing up (or even find ourselves saying), and how our words at the table can influence the way children experience food. And if you’ve ever found yourself saying, “I just want them to eat something,” you’re not alone.

❤️ The good news? It’s never too late to create more positive, pressure-free mealtime experiences.

👉 We encourage you to click the link for the full post for practical insight and reassurance for navigating feeding with your little ones.

🚨 Ignite is adding another team member! 🤩

Hi, I'm Casey! I'm so glad you found your way here.

I'm a Registered Dietitian trained at the University of Alberta, with over a decade of experience supporting people in building a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. My work has always lived at the intersection of nutrition science and the whole person. I'm endlessly curious about how stress shapes digestion, how our relationship with food reflects how we feel about ourselves, and why healing and energy are rarely just about what's on the plate.

I'm not here to hand you a meal plan and send you on your way. I believe you already hold a tremendous amount of wisdom about your own body, and my job is to help you access it, while bringing my clinical expertise to the table. I'll always provide clear, practical nutrition guidance and we'll co-create every step.

When it comes to gut health, I deeply respect its complexity—and I approach it knowing it rarely exists in isolation from your nutrition, nervous system, and health history.

Areas of focus:

🍉 Digestive health and gut-brain connection
🌶️ IBS, bloating, and functional gut concerns
🍍 Nervous system and its relationship to digestion
🍓Nutrition and mental health
🍌Nutrition for strength, muscle, and sport performance
🫛Nutrition as a foundation for leadership
🍒Women's health throughout the lifespan
🫐Healing your relationship with food

I'm also a published author, TEDx speaker, yoga teacher, and certified professional coach for leaders and entrepreneurs. These aren't footnotes — they're part of why I show up to nutrition work the way I do.

If you're looking for a dietitian who will truly listen, ask good questions, and meet you where you are — I'd love to connect, click here to book: https://ignitenutrition.ca/blog/team/casey-berglund/
