Back to school means back to routines and often, a lot more sitting. Between long classes, studying, homework and screen time, it’s easy to spend hours in the same position without realizing it.
This school year, try to make movement part of the routine: take breaks, change positions, walk between classes, get active after school, and avoid letting long periods of sitting become the norm.
For children and teens ages 5–17, it’s recommended to get at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity each day.
And if back, neck, or shoulder discomfort is becoming a regular part of the school day, our chiropractors can assess their movement and help identify areas that may need attention.
📚 Here's to a healthier, more active school year!
