Here is a personal story that I now share with so many of my families on tours. One of the most meaningful parts of pre-planning is this: sometimes a family’s first visit to the cemetery is actually a positive one.⁠

I’ve walked the grounds with couples who smile as they choose a place together… “You can see the mountains from here,” or “This spot feels right it’s close to the pond.” There’s often laughter, light conversation, and even a bit of playful back-and-forth along the way.⁠

I once had a couple who jokingly bickered the entire tour only to return to the office laughing and decide their memorial should read “The Bickersons Forever.” It was perfect, because it was completely them. ⁠
