Such a lovely surprise visit today! One of our amazing team members stopped by the office and brought along some delicious homemade treats to share. More than the food, it was the chance to sit, visit, laugh and catch up that made the afternoon so special. We are so fortunate to have such kind-hearted and incredible humans on our team. Thoughtful gestures like this are a wonderful reminder that the relationships we build with each other are just as meaningful as the work we do.

Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honor Residential School Survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and recognize the lasting impacts experienced by families and communities across generations. At Granddaughters Home Care, we take this day as an opportunity to reflect, listen, learn, and recognize the importance of truth, healing, and reconciliation. As we continue caring for our clients and supporting our community today, we do so with respect and remembrance.

At Granddaughters Home Care, we truly love the families we have the privilege of supporting, and we see every day the difference genuine, compassionate care can make in the lives of those living with dementia and the people who love them. On October 11, we’ll walk and run for our clients, our families, our friends, and everyone whose life has been touched by dementia. Thank you for supporting us and this incredible cause. Happy Canada Day! Today we celebrate the people, values, and history that have shaped the country we are proud to call home. We also take a moment to remember those whose courage and sacrifice helped build the Canada we know today, including many of the remarkable individuals we have the privilege of caring for. The photo was taken at Canada House in Courseulles-sur-Mer, France, overlooking Juno Beach, where Canadian troops landed on D-Day in 1944. Standing there is a powerful reminder of the respect Canada has earned around the world and the pride we should all feel in calling this country home. Happy Family Day! Family Day is a reminder of what truly matters. Connection, care, and the people who walk alongside us through every season of life. At Granddaughters Home Care, we are so grateful for the family and friends who make what we do possible. Our incredible team, who we proudly consider family, show up every day with compassion, dedication, and heart.
