Did you know your medication can sometimes be customized just for YOU?

Most medications come in standard strengths and forms — but not every patient fits into a one-size-fits-all approach.

This is where pharmaceutical compounding comes in.

Compounding allows our pharmacists to create personalized medications based on your unique needs, such as:

- A different strength than what is commercially available
- A different form (such as creams, liquids, or capsules)
- Avoiding certain ingredients or fillers
- Creating a medication when a standard option may not be the right fit

For example, compounded medications can be helpful for patients who have difficulty swallowing pills, need specialized topical treatments, or require a more personalized approach to their care.

At Kenron Pharmacy, our compounding pharmacists work closely with patients and healthcare providers to create customized medication solutions.

Your health journey is personal, and your medications can be too.

Not sure if your medications are working as well as they could be?

Book a medication review at no cost to you with one of our pharmacists. We’ll sit down with you to review your medications, answer your questions, and identify opportunities to optimize your care.

Compression Stockings in the Summer?!

Yes, just because it is hotter than the devil's armpit outside doesn't mean you have to stop wearing your compression garments. In fact, if they help manage swelling, varicose veins, or lymphedema, you absolutely SHOULD keep wearing them!

"But Kenrooooon, they're uncomfortable and sweaty and I want to wear sandals and show off my pedicure!!"

Here are our fitter's tips to make wearing compression more bearable:

1. Ask about natural fiber options, such as Sigvaris' bamboo, linen, and cotton fabrics. Natural fibers are sweat-wicking and breathable, keeping you cool and dry all day long

2. Show off your pedicures and wear those flip flops with open-toed stockings!

3. Wash your garments regularly. Sweat, sunscreen, and body oils can affect the elasticity of your stockings as well as cause unwanted irritation. A gentle wash each night helps them stay comfortable and extends their life.

Need help finding the right fit or replacing an older pair? Our certified fitters are here to help you stay comfortable all year long.
