From clinic days to film festival nights 🎬🍿

So much fun seeing X-Communicado on the big screen at the Calgary International Film Festival.

From the posters and popcorn to seeing the film come to life at the Globe Cinema, it was such a cool experience getting to share the night with the cast, crew, friends, and some of the Clearview team.

Huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing X-Communicado to life and to everyone who came out to support it.

Ophthalmologist by day… filmmaker after hours? 👀🎥

Ego: being closely monitored 😉

We asked for your date of birth and somehow ended up learning about your first job, your neighbour’s cataract surgery and what you had for breakfast. 😂

We love getting to know our patients—but we really just needed the year. 👁️

Dr. Yau in the 80s would’ve been one of the first surgeons to do laser eye surgery, feathering his hair, and absolutely thriving. 😎

No smartphones. Just vibes, hairspray, and aggressively large frames.

Honestly… he kind of belongs there.

Apparently the Ishihara test can detect colour blindness…

but unfortunately it cannot detect why our staff keep ignoring red flags. 🚩😂👁️

Good news: vision intact.
Bad news: taste in men remains clinically concerning.

Dr. Yau can help with the eyes. The rest is outside our scope of practice. 😭

Unfortunately, I do not love… your contact lens crimes. 😂👁️

Sleeping in them.
Wearing a “monthly” lens for a suspicious number of months.
Waiting until you’re completely out to reorder.
Saying “about the same” after every single lens.
Dry eyes. Foggy glasses. The never-ending expense. 😭

At some point, the breakup starts to make sense. 💔➡️✨

Ready to retire the contacts and glasses?

POV: your patient says, “I only want to see Dr. Yau.” 👁️😂

No problem.

Absolutely no problem at all.

We have… solutions. 😭

Continuity of care? ✅
Same doctor? Technically… also ✅

How do I even begin to explain "Dr. Cannon"? 💅👁️

I heard she runs the place.
I heard she knows way too much about eye surgery for someone who isn’t actually a doctor.
I heard she has very strong opinions about what happens in this clinic.

One time she explained laser eye surgery to me…

**DISCLAIMER: she is not a doctor.** 😂
