š± Canāt touch your toes?
Itās probably NOT just tight hamstrings!
Most people feel the pull in the back of their legs and assume thatās the problem... but often the real limitation is higher upāin your spine, core stability, pelvic tilt, or poor movement sequencing.
Your body is smart: it compensates to protect you. That āhamstring tensionā can actually be your hamstrings acting like brakes because your spine isnāt moving freely or your weight isnāt shifting properly.
There are multiple movement dysfunctions that can restrict your toe touchāand fixing the root cause (not just stretching the symptoms) gives you better freedom of movement and helps prevent compensations elsewhere.
Big shout-out to the Functional Movement Systems (FMS) for teaching so many people how to properly break down and analyze movement patterns like this.
