If you are looking for evidence-informed support with women’s health, pregnancy, newborns, sleep, parenting, and/or potty training please reach out ➡️ We can't wait to help! I have personally been working with moms and babies as a Registered Nurse since 2005 during my time in labour, delivery, and postpartum as well as in private practice. After having my first son in 2008, I was privy to all of t

he challenges that coincide with parenthood. I never expected to have a baby with multiple allergies, colic, and major sleep issues. It took time to gain the skills and confidence to effectively manage my role as a new parent. After getting his allergies under control, the next big challenge was sleep. After months and months of sleepless nights, I found a solution that finally brought rest to my boy. It was life-changing for the whole family! I realized I wasn't the only mom struggling with children and sleep issues and wanted to share my perspectives as a health professional with other families. Your baby is unique as is your parenting style. Our global team of Registered Nurses, Lactation Consultants, and Nurse Practitioners will acknowledge your specific goals and help find solutions for your family. We are committed to providing evidence-informed education, without judgment to help make parenthood easier. Please reach out to the Mama Coach nearest you if you are struggling - we can help! https://themamacoach.com/coaches-landing-page/

Hot flashes and irregular periods get all the attention.

But many women are surprised to learn that perimenopause can also show up as things like tingling sensations, skin changes, increased anxiety, brain fog, sleep disruptions, and symptoms that don't seem connected at all.

That's one reason so many women spend years wondering what's going on.
When symptoms don't fit the picture you expected, it's easy to dismiss them or assume they're unrelated.

Understanding what may be connected to hormone changes can be the first step toward finding answers and getting the right support.

Sophia Raftis is a Registered Nurse based in New York, supporting women through perimenopause with evidence-informed, individualized care.

She helps women connect the dots, understand their symptoms, and make informed decisions about their health.

Nobody told me.
So now I'm telling you.

One of the most important conversations you can have before birth is about your pelvic floor, yet many women don't hear about it until they're already dealing with challenges postpartum.

That's exactly why I created Ready to Push.

Join me, your RN, alongside pelvic floor physiotherapist Ashley Lowe, for an honest, practical conversation about preparing your body for birth and recovery.

You'll leave with information you can actually use, confidence heading into labour, and a better understanding of how your pelvic floor plays a role before, during, and after delivery.

Because preparing for birth isn't only about getting through labour.
It's also about setting yourself up for recovery.

Spots are limited.

Cianna Boyd is a Registered Nurse based in Lethbridge, Alberta, supporting families with practical, evidence-informed education and support through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

My reaction when someone tells me their baby hates the swaddle…

Hi — in case we haven’t met, I’m Kailey — registered nurse + lactation consultant, and I help overwhelmed moms feed their babies and actually understand what’s going on with sleep.

And I’m going to say it…

Your baby doesn’t hate the swaddle.

Newborns just don’t sleep like adults.

They have two phases of sleep:
Active sleep + deep sleep

And active sleep?

It looks loud. Messy. Kinda chaotic.

Grunting
Kicking
Arms moving
Making noise
…all while still asleep.

So what looks like “they hate this” is usually just normal newborn sleep happening.

It’s not the swaddle.

It’s understanding what you’re actually seeing.

Once you understand newborn sleep, everything shifts.

Kailey Warburton is a Registered Nurse, MSN, IBCLC based in Twin Falls, Idaho.

If your newborn’s sleep feels confusing or unpredictable, you can access her newborn sleep guide here—this walks you through what’s actually normal and how to support your baby:

IVF prep isn’t about doing everything.
It’s about doing the right things at the right time.

Preconception health is the foundation—
how your body responds to medications,
how eggs develop,
how embryos grow,
and how pregnancy is supported.

This is the space I work in.

The in-between.
The overlooked.
The “why didn’t anyone explain this sooner?” phase.

If you’re preparing for IVF—or even just starting to think about it—start here.

Hannah Gammage is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) based in the Phoenix area, supporting women through hormone health, fertility, postpartum recovery, and the transitions that no one really prepares you for.

Her approach blends clinical expertise with honest, practical guidance—so you’re not left guessing when something feels off.

Just kidding.

This kind of response doesn’t defeat me—it fuels me.

Because if perimenopause is still being dismissed as a “TikTok trend,” we’ve clearly got work to do.

If you’re feeling off and being told it’s all in your head—trust yourself.

Your symptoms are real.
And you don’t have to go through it alone.

Kim Hand is a Registered Nurse and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) based in Claresholm, Alberta, helping women understand their hormones and feel like themselves again.

The internet can make parenting feel loud, overwhelming, and very black-and-white.

But inviting someone into your world to support your child is different. Whether it's feeding, sleep, starting solids, or potty training, asking for help takes trust.

And that trust is something we never take lightly.sarah.clarke and I feel incredibly honoured every time a family chooses to work with us. Our goal is never to tell you there's only one right way to do things.

It's to understand your family's goals, provide evidence-informed guidance, and help you make decisions with confidence.
Because parenting isn't one-size-fits-all.

The best support meets you where you're at and helps you find an approach that works for your family.

If you have questions or want to learn more about how we work, we always offer a free 15-minute phone call. You can book through our bios.

One of the most frustrating parts of perimenopause and menopause is feeling like your body stopped responding the way it used to.

You’re eating the same.
Exercising the same.
Doing all the “right” things.

And suddenly the weight around your midsection won’t budge, your energy feels off, and you don’t feel like yourself anymore.

This is incredibly common during perimenopause and menopause — and it’s not simply about willpower.

Fluctuating estrogen and progesterone levels can affect metabolism, appetite, fat storage, sleep, insulin sensitivity, and muscle mass. Over time, this can contribute to increased abdominal weight gain and make it harder to lose weight the way you may have before.

One of the first things I look at is whether insulin resistance could be contributing to what’s happening. This can include changes in waist circumference, symptoms, lifestyle factors, and reviewing blood work with your healthcare provider.

Support often includes:
• strength training to support muscle mass and metabolism
• nutrition strategies that support gut and hormone health
• reviewing supplements and whether hormone therapy may be appropriate for you

Most importantly — you deserve support that looks at the full picture, not another generic “eat less and move more” conversation.

Amanda Pare is a Registered Nurse and IBCLC based in Lloydminster, supporting women through perimenopause and menopause with evidence-informed care and individualized support.

Brain fog is one of the most common symptoms I hear from women in perimenopause — and one of the most dismissed.

Many women are told their labs are “fine” or that this is simply part of getting older, while continuing to struggle with focus, memory, mental clarity, sleep, and feeling like themselves.

You don’t have to keep guessing.

My name is Kira, and I support women through the perimenopause and menopause years with evidence-informed nursing care that looks at the full picture — not only isolated symptoms. There’s usually a reason symptoms like this are happening, and a clear assessment and support plan can make a big difference. If you’re tired of second-guessing yourself or feeling dismissed, book an in-person or virtual session to get clarity on what’s going on and what support options may help.

Kira O'Neil is a Registered Nurse and IBCLC based in Washington with over 15 years of experience supporting women through hormone health, perimenopause, menopause, and postpartum care.

I’m not saying this will magically stop your hormonal roller coaster.

But I am saying this is one of the most important places to start.

You don’t need extremes.
You need consistency with the basics before you dive deeper.

✔️ Protein
✔️ Fiber
✔️ Water

It sounds simple because it is.
And for many women, these foundational habits are the first thing missing when energy, mood, recovery, and hormones start feeling off.

Start here before you overcomplicate it.

Save this for your reset days.

Courteney Dennett is a Registered Nurse supporting women and families through postpartum recovery, hormone shifts, and early transitions with practical, evidence-informed guidance.
