☕ Tea Series Episode 3 is here — and today we're settling the debate.
1 cube? 2 cubes? 3 cubes?
We tested 3 Saint Louis sugar cubes in plain Lipton Yellow Label after 16 hours fasting.
Starting blood sugar: 5.5 mmol/L ✅ Clean and ready.
The result is NOT what most diabetics would expect 😳
Full video on my page — but first, be honest in the comments 👇🏾
How many cubes were you actually using back in the day?
No judgment — this is a safe space 😂

☕ Good news for everyone who has been missing their St. Louis sugar — and a reality check for those who weren't counting their cups 😂
Episode 3 of the Tea Series. Lipton Yellow Label + 3 Saint Louis sugar cubes. No milk. No bread. Just the classic combo after 16 hours fasting.
Peaked at 6.8. Total spike: +1.3 mmol/L. 😳
Went straight up and came straight back down by 90 minutes.
Three cubes of white sugar in ONE cup of plain tea is manageable. The data says so. White sugar is not poison in controlled portions — the amount matters more than the ingredient at this dose.
BUT — this is the fine print everyone needs to read — most of us don't drink one cup. We drink three. Three cups multiplied by three cubes is nine cubes before 9am. Add Peak Milk. Add Agege Bread. Now we're having a very different conversation 😅
Portion control saves lives. Even for tea.
Now be honest in the comments 👇🏾
How many cubes were YOU actually using back in the day? No judgment 😂
And what should I test next — Honey or Milk + Sugar combo?

☕ The Tea Series is here — and Episode 1 just settled something important.
Plain Lipton Yellow Label. No sugar. No sweetener. The pack says 0 calories.
I started at 6.8 mmol/L — a little high from a late dinner. One hour of plain tea later? Down to 5.8 and still dropping 📉
Zero spike. Actually dropped. The zero calorie claim is REAL — confirmed on a real body with a real CGM.
But honestly the taste? 😭 "I don't know how you people take this thing without something sweetening it!" My daddy used to drink plain Lipton every morning like it was nothing. Absolute warrior 😂
Here is the plan — same tea every episode, one new variable:
☕ Next week: Lipton + Regular Sugar
Then: Stevia. Honey. Monk Fruit.
Final episode: The Tea Sweetener Ranking — which one is actually safe?
But first — be honest in the comments 👇🏾
How many cubes of sugar do you put in your Lipton? And which sweetener should I test first? 😂 #

🚨 I need the Sugar Squad's help because this result has me genuinely confused.
Last week: Fried Ripe Plantain — +1.9 mmol/L ✅ Clean and safe.
This week: Fried Unripe Plantain — +5.2 mmol/L 🔴 Nearly 3 TIMES more.
The unripe one. The one every auntie, parent, and doctor has been telling diabetics to eat. The one we have been suffering through — hard, dense, tasteless — because we believed it was the healthier choice.
Have we been suffering for nothing?! 😭
Now I have a theory — frying drives out all the water in the unripe plantain, leaving concentrated starch that hits your bloodstream fast with nothing to slow it down. Boiling preserves the water and resistant starch. The cooking method might be the real variable here, not the plantain itself.
But I want to hear from you first. Should I retest it boiled? Retest fried to confirm? Do a full ripe vs unripe controlled comparison?
Drop your verdict below 👇🏾 and tag someone whose auntie has been forcing them to eat unripe plantain 😂

OFADA vs WHITE RICE – Who wins the blood sugar war?

In Episode 1, plain white rice spiked me from 5.3 to 11.9 mmol/L.
Episode 2? Rice + plantain + egg + fish = 11.1.
But this… THIS Ofada rice? 😳 With all the Yoruba artillery — palm oil, shaki, liver, pepper sauce… only spiked me to 👀!

It’s still a spike — but noticeably lower than the others.
The secret? Let’s just say Ofada came prepared.

Rice is life… but also a sugar spike!
I tested plain white rice + pepper stew + fish with my CGM, and my sugar jumped from 5.3 to watch the full video😳

No plantain, no salad—just the basics. This is the baseline for all rice combos we’ll test in this new series.
