πŸ―β˜• Tea Series β€” the episode that challenges everything you thought you knew about honey.
Pure fresh honey from a BC bee farm. Lipton Yellow Label. Peak milk. One teaspoon of the most natural sweetener available. The cleanest fasting baseline of the entire series at 5.1 mmol/L.
30 mins: 6.6 mmol/L πŸ“ˆ
45 min PEAK: 7.4 mmol/L 🚨
Total spike: +2.3 mmol/L 😳

The comparison πŸ‘‡
🍬 3 Saint Louis sugar cubes: +1.3 βœ…
🍯 1 teaspoon pure honey: +2.3 ⚠️

One teaspoon of honey spiked me almost double what three cubes of refined white sugar did.
Natural does not mean blood sugar friendly. Your pancreas reads glucose β€” not labels.
Honey has real benefits β€” antioxidants, antimicrobial properties, other health value white sugar doesn't have. This is not a ban. But if your goal is blood sugar management β€” watch your portions. Half a teaspoon. Test your own body.

Updated Tea Series leaderboard:
🌱 Stevia: ZERO πŸ“‰ Still the winner
🍬 Sugar: +1.3 βœ…
🍬πŸ₯› Sugar + Milk: +1.2 βœ…
🍯 Honey: +2.3 ⚠️ Highest

🚢 The Rice Series is complete β€” three episodes, real data, one clear formula.
Episode 3: Same fresh hot basmati rice as Episode 1. But this time I took a 19 minute walk immediately after eating and tracked every reading for 2 full hours.
Fasting: 6.2 mmol/L βœ…
30 minutes: 8.7 πŸ“ˆ
1 hour: 10.1 πŸ“ˆ
70 minute PEAK: 11.9 🚨
90 minutes: 9.0 πŸ“‰
2 hours: 6.9 mmol/L πŸ“‰ nearly back to fasting baseline
The Complete Rice Series Scoreboard:
🍚 Ep 1 β€” Fresh rice, no intervention: +6.7 🚨 Peaked at 14.9. Slow recovery.
🧊 Ep 2 β€” Frozen then defrosted: +5.1 βœ… 25% lower spike. Best management.
🚢 Ep 3 β€” Fresh rice + 19 min walk: +5.7 βœ… Peaked at 11.9. Back to 6.9 in 2 hours. Fastest recovery.
The ShugaDaddy verdict:
Want the lowest spike? Freeze your rice first. ❄️
Want the fastest recovery? Take a walk after eating. 🚢
Want both? That is Part 4 β€” and I haven’t tested it yet. But based on these three episodes, the logical next step is freeze the rice AND walk after. We test before we conclude. That is the Sugar Squad way.
Are you Team Frozen Rice ❄️ or Team Walking 🚢?
Drop your answer below πŸ‘‡πŸΎ and drop a 🍚 if you want Part 4.

🫘 BEANS SERIES EP. 3 β€” White Beans set a trap and I walked right into it 😭

πŸ† The Official Beans Scoreboard:
πŸ₯ Drum Beans: +1.2 βœ…
🍯 Honey Beans: +3.1 ⚠️
🫘 White Beans: +4.5 πŸ”΄

White Beans isn't just the highest spike β€” it's the longest. That's what makes it the most dangerous for anyone with diabetes, PCOS or insulin resistance.
No plantain. No bread. No garri. Extreme portion control only.
What should I test next? πŸ‘‡πŸΎ

Egemba Chinonso Fidelis frozen rice theory β€” confirmed

🍚🧊 Same rice. Just frozen first. The difference? 25% lower blood sugar spike.

Fresh hot rice last week: +6.7 mmol/L 🚨 Peak 14.9
Frozen then defrosted this week: +5.1 mmol/L βœ… Peak 11.3
Fasting: 6.4 mmol/L βœ…
30 mins: 8.7 πŸ“ˆ
1 hour: 9.6 πŸ“ˆ
90 min PEAK: 11.3 mmol/L 🚨
Total spike: +5.1 vs last week's +6.7
by the CGM 😳

The honest caveat: frozen rice still peaked at 11.3. A reduced spike is better β€” not a free pass. Portion control still applies.

Next episode: fresh rice + 20 minute walk πŸ‘€
Freezer vs exercise β€” which reduces the spike more? Follow for Pt. 3 πŸ‘‡πŸΎ

🍚🧊 Rice Series Part 2 β€” the frozen rice test is complete and I am happy to confirm that Aproko Doctor was right.

Last week: fresh hot basmati rice β€” +6.7 mmol/L spike 🚨 Peak 14.9. Highest spike ever recorded on this channel.

This week: exact same rice, same portion, same fish sauce. Frozen stone solid then defrosted and eaten.

Fasting: 6.4 mmol/L βœ… (much cleaner starting point than last week)
30 minutes: 8.7 πŸ“ˆ
1 hour: 9.6 πŸ“ˆ
90 minute PEAK: 11.3 mmol/L 🚨
Total spike: +5.1 mmol/L
That is a 25% reduction in blood sugar spike just from freezing the rice first.
The science is real β€” freezing converts digestible starch into resistant starch that absorbs more slowly.

The honest caveat: frozen rice still peaked at 11.3. A reduced spike is better β€” it is not a free pass. Portion control still applies even with the freezer hack.

Now the big question β€” which makes a bigger difference: the freezer or a 20 minute walk after eating? That bonus episode is coming soon. Make your prediction below πŸ‘‡πŸΎ

Share this with every Nigerian who loves rice and has been told to give it up because of diabetes. The answer isn't to stop eating rice β€” it's to eat it smarter.

🍚 So many of you sent me 100078029257108:2048:Aproko Doctor Aproko Doctor's video about freezing rice to lower its blood sugar impact. Instead of just believing it, I decided to test it myself β€” properly, with real CGM data.
This is a two-part series.

Part 1: Fresh, freshly cooked basmati rice + mackerel fish sauce. The way most of us actually eat rice β€” hot, straight from the pot.

My fasting sugar started at 8.2 mmol/L β€” already a bit elevated since I missed my medication the night before, worth noting for transparency.

1 hour: 13.4 mmol/L πŸ“ˆ
90 minutes: 14.9 mmol/L 🚨 β€” one of the highest spike I have ever recorded on this channel
2.5 hours: dropping to around 11 mmol/L
Total spike: +6.7 mmol/L

Hot rice hits hard and fast. If you are diabetic, this confirms why portion control with rice matters so much β€” consider half the usual portion and load up on vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, salad or coleslaw alongside it.
Part 2 is coming next β€” the same rice, frozen and reheated, to see if Aproko Doctor's claim about resistant starch actually holds up against real data.
This content isn't just for diabetics. It's for anyone managing weight, PCOS or insulin resistance. Share this with your dad, your mom, your uncle, your sister β€” whoever in your life needs to see this.
What do you think β€” will frozen rice actually make a difference? Drop your prediction below πŸ‘‡πŸΎ
