Trust in relationships is wildly undervalued all the way up until it’s broken. Then suddenly, it’s like oxygen.

05/01/2026

It’s often the smallest things that shape the biggest parts of our lives: the quiet habits, the everyday moments, the connections we once overlooked.

As we begin to heal, we start to see clearly what truly supports our well-being… and what deserves our attention again.

If you’re ready to reconnect with yourself, your relationships, and the life you want to build, we’re here to support you.

We’re so excited to welcome Men and Youth Specialist Laura Brown to the team at RWCCounselling.
She specializes in men’s mental health, youth, and relationships challenges, supporting Men, Women, Youth and couples through anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the patterns that keep showing up no matter how hard you try to outgrow them.
Her approach is direct, honest, and grounded in compassion. She’ll tell it to you straight, but in a way that feels safe, supportive, and actually helpful. She integrates approaches like Brainspotting to help clients move beyond just understanding their struggles and start actually shifting them.

Laura helps clients:
• Feel more grounded and in control of their emotions
• Communicate more clearly and confidently
• Break repeating patterns in relationships
• Build stronger, more connected relationships
• Actually feel different day-to-day

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, reactive, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to shake you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll find her hiking, in the gym, slightly over-caffeinated, and unwinding with comfort shows like Friends and Seinfeld

Why seeing a student therapist might be one of the best decisions you make:

There’s a big myth when it comes to working with student or intern therapists — that it means less experience, less insight, or a watered-down version of therapy.

But what many people don’t see is what’s happening behind the scenes — and that’s where the real strength of working with an intern therapist comes in.

You’re getting two minds, not one.

When you work with an intern therapist, you’re not just getting their support — you’re also getting the guidance of their clinical supervisor and consultation team.

That means your care is being thoughtfully reviewed and supported by experienced, licensed professionals.

They’re bringing the most current knowledge.
Intern therapists are actively learning, immersed in the latest research, and trained in current, evidence-based approaches.

They’re intentional, curious, and deeply engaged in doing the work well.

They’re putting in extra time.

Intern therapists often spend additional time preparing for sessions, reviewing cases, and making sure they’re offering meaningful tools and support.

There’s a level of dedication that can feel incredibly personal.

You’re part of something meaningful.

Intern therapists are learning how to show up, connect, and serve their communities. They carry a strong sense of responsibility and show up with heart, effort, and a genuine desire to grow into therapists who make an impact.

And let’s talk about accessibility.

One of the biggest benefits of working with an intern therapist is cost. Sessions are often offered at a reduced rate, making therapy more financially accessible while still providing high-quality care.

At the end of the day, therapy isn’t about titles — it’s about connection, care, and your growth.

We currently have low-cost sessions for $90 with our intern, Feden Abeda, with no wait times available.
