She finally got into bed.
Everyone had been looked after. The dishes were done. The messages were answered. Tomorrow’s list was already running through her head.
She was exhausted.
But her body?
Apparently, nobody had told it. 😂
Her shoulders were still up around her ears. Her jaw was tight. Her neck ached. Her lower back was complaining.
Her mind was doing that fun little thing where it replays every conversation from the day while simultaneously planning tomorrow.
She shifted.Sighed.Flipped the pillow.
Told herself, “I just need to relax.”
But sometimes, relaxing isn’t as simple as deciding to relax.
Because women spend so much of their lives holding it all together.
Holding the kids.Holding the schedule.Holding the family.Holding the stress.Holding their breath.Holding tension in places they don’t even realize are tense anymore.
And eventually, the body starts saying, “Ummm… can we please deal with this?”
Rather than asking your body to “just relax already,” I give it the opportunity to slow down, soften and let go.
For some women, it may simply be the first time all day—or all week—that they don’t have to be responsible for anything.
You don’t have to hold everything together on my table.
You get to be the one who is cared for. 🤍
And honestly?
You deserve that more than you probably realize.
If your body has been quietly asking for a little help lately, maybe it’s time to listen.
