Contemplation Practice
The summer term is always a busy time & when the education & academia doors close for the summer break, I know it's important for me to set aside time for contemplation.
In the past few weeks a Clay Conversations training group came to a beautiful ending & last weekend participants on the Bridging Creative Therapies course completed their final module in-person wonderfully well.
Practitioners who undertake these 9 month-long trainings truly amaze me in their willingness to fully engage in personal & professional development in order to support others' well-being. Both programmes of study move through deeply personal, transformative creative & expressive experiences - I am forever awed by what I witness!
Working as a psychotherapist, trainer, researcher & writer, I understand the need for contemplation as I shy away from social media for a while! Usually by water; rivers, lakes & seas where the ebb & flow of tides refreshes my creative expression, I turn my attention to focusing on what has been, what is likely to unfold although I am only too aware that nothing is fixed, & is this still the path for me? After 50 years on this path I can truly say a resounding, "Yes, this is still what I love doing!"
