We’re excited to share that Colleen, our physiotherapist, recently completed additional advanced training focused on the clinical assessment and management of TMJ (jaw) disorders and headaches! 🧠✨

With this advanced training, we’re better equipped to assess the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms and provide personalized, evidence-based treatment to help you move, function, and feel better.

✨ You’ve been waiting… and this week, we’re excited to introduce you to Kate! ✨
Last week, we introduced you to one of our newest team members and promised another introduction — so, here she is! 👋

Please join us in welcoming Kate, our newest Client Coordinator! 💙

Kate holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and has a diverse professional background, from teaching kindergarten to working as an insurance adjuster. She’s also a proud mom to two energetic boys who keep life fun and busy!

When she’s not at the clinic, Kate enjoys crafting, colouring, reading, and tackling puzzles. And now for a few fun facts about Kate:

🎶 Choir kid: Kate sang in children’s and youth choirs from ages 8–25, travelling across Canada and parts of the U.S. to compete and perform.

🎨 Cricut enthusiast: She proudly owns several Cricut machines and loves creating custom cards and T-shirts for friends and family.

💃 Dance it out: Kate believes dancing is the perfect way to release frustration — her advice? BUST A MOVE!

🍳 Recipe rebel: She loves cooking but rarely follows a recipe… much to her husband’s dismay! 😂

📚 Avid reader: Her favourite genres include true crime, mystery, and fantasy.

👋 You may have noticed a new face around the clinic... we’d love to introduce you to Krystal, one of our Client Coordinators! 💙

Krystal is a graduate of the Medical Office Administration program, earning her diploma with honours. 🎓 She chose this career because she believes every patient deserves to be welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and compassion. 🤝 She is passionate about building genuine connections and creating a positive, supportive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. 😊

A few fun facts to help you get to know Krystal:

🐾 Pet lover – Cats, dogs, and all furry friends have a special place in her heart. ❤️

We’re taking a little break to celebrate, soak up the summer (preferably somewhere with air conditioning 😅), and recharge!

🎓 Education Day! - Colleen stopped by the clinic to pick up her favourite ear model on her way to deliver a vestibular presentation at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener. Can you tell she is a little excited to talk about the inner ear?!

Today, Colleen had the opportunity to lead an informative session for hospital staff on vestibular disorders — conditions that can impact balance, cause dizziness, and affect overall mobility and quality of life.

The session covered:
😵‍💫 Common causes of dizziness and vertigo
🤢 The impact of vestibular dysfunction on patients
👩‍⚕️ Evidence-based physiotherapy approaches to assessment and treatment

We’re proud to support ongoing education and collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes through knowledge and specialized care 💪
