I’ve been sitting with this for a long time.

After a lot of thought, a lot of research, and a lot of tuning in — to my body, my mind, and my heart — I’ve taken the plunge and started my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology!

It’s a part-time, three-year path. I chose it that way so I can keep doing what already feels true: sitting with people one-on-one, offering workshops, and staying present in the work we already share. Nothing about that is going away. What is expanding is how I can meet people — bringing traditional counselling psychology together with the somatic, body-based, yoga, and intuitive work that has always been the heart of how I support others.

I’m excited. I’m also nervous. Both feel true in my body at the same time, and I’m practising holding that instead of trying to tidy it up.

This is one of the practices I’ll keep coming back to as I move through this chapter. It’s simple. It’s the kind of thing I trust when my system starts to move ahead of me.

Landing in the Present:

Find a place that you can land.

Feel the contact of your body with the chair, the floor, the ground.

One hand on your body. One hand on the earth or chair beneath you.

Breathe in a way that doesn’t ask anything extra of you.

On the exhale, let yourself be met.

When you’re ready, look around and name three things that feel steady.
I’ll be using this. You’re welcome to use it too.

I’m grateful to keep walking with this community. I still want to support you in the ways I can — and I’ll keep making space for that as I grow.

When your body feels wired or scattered, sometimes the most helpful thing is small and precise.

Here’s a simple tool I use with clients called the Physiological Sigh:

Take two quick inhales through your nose, like a double sip of air.
Then let out one long, slow exhale through your mouth.

The double inhale clears excess carbon dioxide that keeps tension looping. The long exhale activates the vagus nerve, slows the heart rate, and signals safety to the whole system.

It takes about thirty seconds and works from the body up.

Try it the next time you feel that familiar buzz in your chest or belly—before a difficult conversation, stuck in traffic, or lying awake with a racing mind.

Even one or two rounds can create a noticeable shift.

I’d love to hear how it lands for you.

🌿 When we step out of our familiar routines and environment, it’s so easy to get pulled into the mind — where thoughts become energy and emotions sweep us into comparison, resentment, disconnection, or that quiet sense of being out of sync.

This is an invitation to pause.

Notice when it’s happening.

Drop out of the mental loop and into the body.

Feel what’s here.

Meet yourself with compassion.

Ask: What do I need right now?

Then gently release what no longer serves… so you can return to the intention that actually aligns with you.

Your body is always speaking. Sometimes travel, transition, or disruption just turns up the volume. 💛

Try it with me today — one conscious pause, one moment to check in, one return.

Save this for the next time life pulls you off center.

Drop a 🌀 if you’re feeling this lately.

There are moments — often when life pulls us out of our familiar rhythms — when we suddenly see it: how quickly the mind spins stories, how emotions tug us into comparison, resentment, or disconnection.

In those tender, disorienting spaces, real transformation begins not by fixing or pushing through, but by pausing… and returning home to the body.

This is the heart of the somatic therapeutic work I do.
I hold space for you to notice what’s alive — the sensations, the emotions, the old patterns — with curiosity instead of judgment.

Together we gently release what’s ready to move, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with your body’s innate wisdom.

From that grounded place, you can choose the next step that truly serves you, your relationships, and the life you’re creating.

No advice. No agenda. Just deep presence, compassionate witnessing, and practical somatic tools that support real, embodied change.

Whether you’re navigating transition, grief, burnout, or simply longing to feel more at home in yourself — you don’t have to do it alone.

💛 If this resonates, I’d love to hear what “returning to the body” looks like for you lately.

You can gently guide your nervous system into safety and joy—with play, laughter, music, time in nature, and the people you love.

When we invite in these expansive, joyful moments, our nervous system meets us there and regulates with us.

What’s one small thing you can do today to bring your body into the state you desire? 💛

🌿 Can you feel it? That gentle return to yourself…

In this moment, the crystal bowls, and chimes aren’t just playing — they’re speaking directly to your nervous system.

Every tone creates resonance inside your cells, inviting your body to release what it’s been holding and come back into coherence.

Sound healing is a powerful way to regulate your nervous system and reconnect with your body’s natural rhythm. In a world that keeps us in constant fight-or-flight, these sacred frequencies offer a pathway home — to safety, presence, and deep inner connection.

If your body has been craving rest, softness, or remembrance… this is for you.

✨ Join me live for an immersive experience
I’m hosting two upcoming in-person workshops at The Remedy Room in Courtenay where you’ll experience a full sound healing journey combined with somatic movements and powerful nervous system regulation tools.

Come Home to Yourself 💛

Somatic tools for tired souls who’ve done all (or a at least a lot) of work…
but still feel disconnected from themselves.

This isn’t another thing for you to fix or another program to perfect.

It’s a soft invitation to finally feel safe in your own body again —
and gently meet the real you that’s been waiting underneath all the exhaustion, the performing, and the protective patterns.

If you’re reading this and you’re weary from trying so hard for so long… I see you.
This is for you — for the part of you that’s done talking about healing and just wants to feel different in your body.

To stop abandoning yourself and start coming back home, breath by breath, moment by moment.

You don’t have to earn this.
You don’t have to be further along.
You only need to be willing to meet yourself with a little more kindness.

Each slide holds a simple somatic tool — breath, orienting, parts work, and the yoga you already know — designed to support you in releasing what no longer serves and reconnecting with your authentic Self.

Save this for the days when it all feels like too much.
Come back to it when you need a reminder that you’re allowed to feel safe, whole, and real.

Which one is calling to you right now? Drop the number below.
I’m here with you. 🙏🏻

With a heavy heart, I’m sharing that my beloved dad has passed away. 💔

I was so fortunate to make it to his side in time—through canceled flights and long delays—to hold him, care for him, and be fully present during his final days.

I rubbed his hands and feet, played his favorite songs, lay beside him listening to meditations, and when the moment came, I rested my hand on his heart as I called in his ancestors, guides, loved ones, and surrounded him with white, healing light. It was time, and he went peacefully.

At my stepmother’s gentle suggestion, I was honored to wash his body afterward—a sacred, ceremonial goodbye that felt like the most tender gift. Being the last to hold him before he returned to the earth… I will carry that moment forever.

Alzheimer’s has slowly taken so much of him over the years—his memories, his spark, his independence. In that way, this was the right time for his beautiful soul to be free again. And for that, even through the tears, I’m deeply grateful.

These last days have been achingly hard, profoundly emotional, and exquisitely beautiful all at once. What a privilege it has been to be his daughter, his friend, and—especially these past 6+ years—his caregiver. 2 of those years he lived with us, wrapped in our family’s love. I will miss him more than words can hold.

Thank you, Dad, for everything you were, everything you are, and everything you taught me about love. I love you beyond measure. 🙏✨

Sending love to anyone else walking through grief right now. You’re not alone. 🤍

In the raw grit of life’s toughest chapters—like watching a loved one fade before your eyes—I’ve learned this truth: we navigate it all through the currency of our nervous system. 💔

When chaos hits, I pause. Check in.

Am I in sympathetic overdrive, drowning in worry, anxiety, and uncertainty? Or collapsed in exhaustion, burnout, and avoidance? Maybe frozen, knowing I need to act but stuck in paralysis?

Notice your state. Then shift.
Drop into the now with sensory awareness: What do I feel in my body? What do I hear? What do I see? Grab one regulation tool—breath, movement, whatever grounds you—and reclaim presence.

The more we practice, the more we build that nervous system flexibility. You can too. Let’s turn survival into strength. 🌱
