Today marks 73 years since Campbellford Memorial Hospital first opened its doors

That’s 73 years of caring for patients and families, growing alongside our community, and being there when people need us most.

And while birthdays are a great time to look back, they’re also a pretty good time to think about what comes next.

Yesterday we were at Legacy Living Retirement Residences in Brighton, sharing an update on our new hospital project and answering questions from residents.

Part of community engagement is about meeting people where they are and making it easy for everyone to learn more, ask questions and be part of the conversation about the future of healthcare in our region.

Another upgrade for our Restorative Therapy Gym thanks to the addition of a brand-new sun shade on the balcony.

The new shade gives our team the opportunity to take patients outside to enjoy the second-floor views, get some fresh air, and not have to worry as much about the summer sun.

It seems our staff are pretty happy to take advantage of it too. 😎

Today, we bid farewell to Bill Detlor, who has served as CMH’s Manager of the Emergency Department and Respiratory Therapy.

Bill has been a steadfast presence at CMH, leading our Emergency Department through a period of tremendous change and transition with dedication and commitment to our patients, staff, and community.

We thank Bill for his many contributions to our hospital and for sharing his journey with us over these past several years. We wish him all the very best as he begins the next chapter of his career.
