This was on the move through Campbellton this morning May 27/26. A Wind Turbine Blade about 200+ft, the first coming from Port of Belledune.
Quite impressive heavy move.

Transport des composants d'éoliennes / Windmill component transportation

(English follows)

*****

The Campbellton Regional Community wishes to advise the public that large components for a windmill project will be transported from Belledune into Quebec over the J.C. Horne Bridge beginning the last week of May until the end of August.

This will cause some traffic delays in the municipality and some temporary traffic pattern changes along Salmon Boulevard. Line painting on Salmon Boulevard will take place on Saturday, May 23, with temporary traffic pattern changes taking effect on Monday, May 25, to accommodate these large components.

At 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, a large windmill blade will leave Belledune to be transported to the Campbellton Regional Community, arriving later in the morning. Route:
• Route 11 then exit on to Blair Malcolm Road
• Blair Malcolm Road to Route 134
• Route 134 to Vanier Street
• Vanier Street to Ramsay Street
• Ramsay Street to Salmon Boulevard
• Salmon Boulevard to the J.C. Van Horne Bridge via the exit ramp

Following its arrival, it will be parked near the J.C. Van Horne Bridge for departure to Quebec at approximately 4 a.m. on Thursday, May 28.

On Friday, May 29, two convoys will be transporting other large windmill components via the same route for arrivals at the J.C. Van Horne Bridge at approximately 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Please follow all directions from traffic officials during this time and make alternate travel route arrangements if necessary. The Campbellton Regional Community apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks residents for their cooperation.

Weekly updates will be provided throughout the summer to inform the public.

Children with myopia progression is one of the fastest growing vision issues facing children today. This is mainly from overuse of near vision with the use of Tablets & Smartphones and Handheld Gaming Devices. There are solutions that can help minimise the progression of myopia and affect this will have on their development. One of the more recent innovations in childhood vision care is Myopia Control lenses that are designed to keep them focused through the optical center of the lens by defocusing the outer design of the lens. The other aspect that can have a tremendous effect is parents limiting their use of Tablets, Smartphones and Handheld Gaming devices.
