It's summer vacation time! I'll be taking a much need break to rest & recharge before next hockey season picks up! Out East I go to catch up with friends I haven't seen in over TWO YEAR.

REHABILITATION

That nagging injury that's bothered you for months...years? Athletic Therapists can help with that. ASSESSMENT

Athletic Therapists both provide CLINICAL or SIDELINE injury assessments. While the premise behind them is the same - figure out what structures are injured, they differ.

CLINICAL - we take a deep dive into the injury. AT's want to figure what is going on and what may be contributing to it, especially if it is a chronic injury that has been bothering you for weeks, months or even YEARS. We take each puzzle piece and put it together to ensure you find relief.

SIDELINE - quick and dirty version to provide quality acute care to ensure your injury doesn't hold you back. The Athletic Therapist assesses the situation, determine if it is an emergency or not and then applies the proper technique to ensure OPTIMAL healing is occurring immediately. This allows you to get back to play as soon and as safely as possible. Emergency or not...AT's are trained to manage each situation!!

JUNE is National Athletic Therapy Month....one of my favourite times of the year!

A month of spending (additional) time promoting Athletic Therapy in our communities, educating people on what we do, how we do it, why we are different and how vital we are to both sport associations and the health care system!

Great news Bonnyville! I have solidified a space to provide treatments. I will be at Herb & Stone Wellness on May 23rd. Spots have already started to fill up, so if you're a previous patient looking for a tune up, be sure to book in! New patients are always welcome, and I will provide you a comprehensive home care plan to ensure progress is made! I will be travelling to Bonnyville once a month for the summer - more dates to follow!

PITCHING CLINIC

I know, I know, it's short notice. But, I wanted to make sure I made time in March to host a pitching clinic and with my hockey schedule, this was the best day for it!

Details:
Sparling School (Camrose)
March 25, 2024 - 7 to 9pm
lots of breaks and even more learning
ALL ages are welcome! Each session, I individually accommodate each pitching level, from beginner to advanced.
Pitchers need to bring indoor shoes, glove, water bottle and their own catcher.
Limited (7) spots available

I am aware there is a schedule conflict with U11 & U13 evaluations, but not to worry, I am hoping this is the first of many evening sessions!
