How often do you notice a variety of these symptoms? How often do you make time for your wellbeing?
When you spend weeks on end caring for everyone and everything else, with no time for yourself, burn out happens! Trust me... I've been there. A lot.
Unfortunately, it doesn't take long to start taking it's toll, and that's why regular self-care is so important!
Self-care doesn't have to be a day at the spa, a massage, pedicure, or a big fancy shopping trip. These days, villages are hard to come by, making finding the time feel impossible. Not to mention, the economy sucks, so not everyone can afford "special" self-care.
Self-care can be as simple as a warm shower, as long as you want; or a bath with headphones in so the world is silent. It may not seem like much, but when we REGULARLY make time for even those simple things, it can start to make a difference.
Meditate, write in a journal, listen to your favourite music. Even if you can only squeeze in 5 minutes a day, do something for YOU! With time, you will notice a big difference. Perhaps you've been living in survival mode for so long that you don't even realize just how bad it is. That was my story, but with small changes, I'm starting to feel the best I've felt in a decade!
