Have you ever filled out a job application and there’s a question that goes like this? “Please describe any present, or past health concern, physical or emotional, which we should be aware of.”

”Hmmmm, well I’ve been beaten, r***d, lied to, spit upon, stabbed in the back(figuratively, by false friend)
I was a longtime smoker, a recovering gambler, and the list still doesn’t end.
Now my pants don’t fit, my eyesight, and hearing ain’t what they used to be, and I’m too old to care,
Because at least I have some stories to tell and something worthy to share.
My bones creak and grown like ghosts in a museum,
and I’ve got holes in my socks, do you want to see them?
Does this answer your question to your satisfaction?
It is enough to say I’ve had some impacted action.
But they say not so politely down home on the farm,
Don don’t get your s**t in a knot and you’ll feel less harm.

But God bless you for caring, no, I am not at risk,
No more than the next person on your list.
For all of us have things we carry as baggage from our past,
That without given physical and emotional outlets, we all might crash.
But I have been blessed with the loving family and the humour of friends,
So that’s a silly question, please don’t ask me again.
