Over the years, so many of you have become much more than clients to me. You walk through my doors and it genuinely feels like one of my girlfriends is coming to see me.

We talk about everything. Life. Love. Heartbreak. Families. Careers. Dating. Wins. Losses. The things we’re proud of and the things we’re still trying to figure out. We laugh until our stomachs hurt, sometimes we cry, we give each other advice and somehow, somewhere in between all of that, I remember I’m supposed to be doing your treatment. 😂

There’s something incredibly special about being trusted with not only your skin and your confidence, but pieces of your lives too.

You’ve allowed me to watch you grow through different chapters, and many of you have watched me grow right alongside you. You’ve supported my business, celebrated my accomplishments, checked in on me, recommended me to your friends and family, and continued choosing Silks year after year. I don’t know where I’m going to end up or where Silks will take me but I know for now I’m exactly where I need to be.

I don’t think I could ever fully explain what that means to me.

There are days when running a business is exhausting. There are days when I’m tired, overwhelmed or carrying more than anyone realizes. And then one of you walks through the door, we start talking and laughing, and I’m reminded how lucky I am that this is my work.

I get to wake up, come to a place I built from the ground up with my parents cheering me on.

That is something I will never take for granted.
So to all my Silks beauties whether you’ve been with me for years or you’ve only recently found me — thank you.

Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for supporting this little dream that became such a huge part of my life. Thank you for the conversations, the laughs, the vulnerability, the referrals, the loyalty and every single time you’ve walked through my doors.

Silks wouldn’t be Silks without you.

And somewhere along the way, I realized I didn’t just build a business.

Cancun was exactly the reset I didn’t realize I needed. 🌴

A chance to slow down, reflect, recharge, and remember that there’s a whole lot of life outside of the routine I’ve built for myself.

I met some incredible people, some more memorable than others 😉 made genuine connections, belly laughed with Izzy until it hurt, and came home with a different perspective than the one I left with.

Being a business owner, especially in the service industry, means constantly pouring into other people. You spread yourself thin, listen to everyone, give great advice… and somehow forget to take that same advice yourself.

This trip reminded me that I need more moments like this. More travel. More connection. More laughter. More experiences that remind me how much good there still is in the world.

And maybe the biggest realization of all was finally being able to say something I’ve always had a hard time saying:

I deserved this trip.

I deserved the rest, the fun, the memories and the reset without feeling guilty for any of it.

Cancun, you were good to me even though I fell sick for a whole day and a half 🤍 But something tells me this was only the beginning. There are many more trips, memories and belly laughs to come. ✈️🌎
