Your joints, muscles, and soft tissue have been keeping you going — through every workout, every long shift, every "I'll just push through it" moment.

But here's the thing about musculoskeletal issues: they don't usually disappear on their own. They compensate. They adapt. And slowly, one problem becomes three.

The good news? This stuff is incredibly treatable — when you actually address it.

At The Borough, we offer registered massage therapy, osteopathy, and clinical assessment and treatment of joint, muscle, and soft tissue conditions. For cases where inflammation is the real blocker, we also offer joint injections for knees, shoulders, and bursae — one of the most effective ways to reduce pain and get your body back to actually responding to treatment.

Swipe through for the full breakdown — causes, warning signs, and what real care looks like.

We'll be taking a little break for the Civic Holiday and our clinic will be closed on Monday, August 3.

Our plans?

🍻 Maybe a cold drink on the dock.

We hope you're able to unplug, soak up some sunshine, and spend time with the people you love (don't forget the sunscreen 😉).

Have a safe and wonderful long weekend! 💛

Somewhere along the way, "busy" became a badge of honour. We push through the exhaustion, ignore the warning signs, and convince ourselves we'll slow down after we finish one more thing.

But your body doesn't work that way.

Rest isn't a reward for productivity—it's a biological need.

Giving yourself permission to pause doesn't make you lazy. It helps protect your physical health, supports your mental well-being, and allows you to show up more fully for the people and things you care about.

So here's your reminder:

🤍 Take the break.
🤍 Book the appointment.
🤍 Get the extra hour of sleep.
🤍 Put yourself on your own to-do list.

Your health is worth making time for. 😴

Postpartum is about so much more than recovering from birth. Hormonal changes, anxiety, pelvic floor symptoms, bladder leaks, pain with intimacy, C-section recovery, and postpartum weight changes are all common—but that doesn't mean you have to simply "deal with them."
We're here to support every stage of your postpartum journey with compassionate, evidence-based women's healthcare.

Does your scar still feel tight, uncomfortable, or sensitive—even years later?

Just because a scar has healed on the surface doesn't always mean the tissue underneath has fully recovered.

Scar tissue can create restrictions that contribute to tightness, tenderness, reduced mobility, altered sensation, and discomfort long after an injury or surgery.

That's where Dolphin MPS Scar Release Therapy comes in.

Performed by our Registered Massage Therapist, Raquel, this gentle, non-invasive treatment uses microcurrent point stimulation to help release scar adhesions and improve tissue mobility.

Benefits may include:
✨ Reduced tightness and discomfort
✨ Improved scar mobility
✨ Better range of motion
✨ Decreased sensitivity or numbness
✨ Improved tissue function and overall comfort

While Dolphin MPS can be used on many types of scars, it's especially meaningful for women recovering from C-sections. If your scar still feels tight, pulls when you move, or simply doesn't feel "normal," know that you don't have to accept it as your new normal.

Please note: Dolphin MPS Scar Release Therapy is **not recommended** for individuals with:
• A pacemaker
• Pregnancy
• A history of seizures
• Surgical mesh in the treatment area

If you have a scar that's limiting your comfort or movement, we'd love to help you explore your options!

Constantly exhausted? Running on empty? Feeling like no amount of sleep (or coffee ☕) can bring you back to life?

It might not be "just stress."

Iron deficiency is incredibly common—especially among women—and it can leave you feeling:
😴 Constantly fatigued
🧠 Foggy and unable to concentrate
💨 Short of breath with everyday activities
❄️ Cold all the time
💔 Weak, dizzy, or simply not like yourself

For some people, oral iron supplements aren't enough. They're slow to work, difficult to tolerate, or simply aren't absorbed well by the body.

That's where IV iron infusions may help.

By replenishing your iron stores more efficiently, IV iron can help improve energy levels, reduce symptoms of iron deficiency, and support your overall health—so you can get back to feeling like yourself again.

The first step? Finding out why you're iron deficient. At The Borough, we'll assess your symptoms, review your bloodwork, and determine whether an IV iron infusion is the right option for you.

Because feeling exhausted shouldn't just become your "normal."

📞 Book an appointment to learn more about IV iron therapy and whether it's appropriate for you.

🎷 The number of saxophones is directly proportional to the amount of terrible health advice on the internet.

Here's your reminder that:
❌ Your algorithm isn't your healthcare team.
❌ "It worked for me!" isn't the same as scientific evidence.

We love social media (obviously 😉), but when it comes to your health, don't let viral content replace personalized medical advice.

💬 What's the most unhinged health take you've seen online recently? We need to know. 🤣

We live in a world that promises quick fixes.

A supplement.
A gadget.
A detox.
A trend.

But real health doesn't come in a bottle or arrive in a package.

It's built through the choices you make every day:
💛 Prioritizing sleep.
🥗 Nourishing your body.
🏃‍♀️ Moving in ways you enjoy.
🧠 Caring for your mental health.
🩺 Seeking medical care when something doesn't feel right.
🤍 Giving yourself grace along the way.

Wherever you are on your health journey, remember this: you don't have to do everything at once. Small, consistent steps are often the ones that make the biggest difference.

What's one thing you can do for your health today? Tell us in the comments—we'd love to cheer you on. 🌿
