We were so happy to see Walena and Jane today!

Walena and Jane are part of The Catholic Women's League at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Stratford. Their group generously gathered towels and washcloths for our Backpack Program!

These items will be given to our clients when they leave jail to help with their fresh start 👏🏻

We were thrilled to see this story featured in The Guardian this weekend!

The yarn gets donated to us, we bring it to the jail, the women crochet a variety of items, and then the items are donated to Blooming House, Island Pregnancy Centre, and the Community Outreach Centre. It's an amazing chain of kindness!

We see a huge benefit for the women we work with - crocheting for them is a stress reliever that has a soothing effect and creates a sense of pride in their work.
