Residents hit it out of the park with a special visit from our very own local minor league professional baseball team, the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers!⚾

The Barnstormers stepped up to the plate for a great day of fun, playing ball with residents, sharing smiles, and taking photos together. It was a real home run of a visit, and we’re so grateful they came by to knock this experience out of the park!

Thank you, Chatham-Kent Barnstormers, for bringing the team spirit and making the day one to remember!

What a beautiful morning at Riverview Gardens! ☀🎨

On August 18, we were delighted to welcome the Plein Air Artists of Chatham-Kent (PAACK) to paint in our courtyard.

The event was a huge success, bringing together residents, families, visitors, staff, and volunteers to enjoy a morning filled with creativity, conversation, and fresh-air inspiration.

It was wonderful to see the artists capture the charm, colour, and peaceful spirit of our surroundings while everyone watched the artwork come to life.

A heartfelt thank you to PAACK for sharing their incredible talent with us, and to everyone who helped make the morning so enjoyable. Our residents, staff, volunteers, and guests truly appreciated this special experience.

Thank you to our social workers Mallory and Kailyn for organizing a meaningful Public Service Pride Week event. On August 17, we celebrated Pride with the raising of the Pride flag, bringing together residents, staff, and families in a strong show of support and community.

Pride in public service matters because it reflects our commitment to inclusion, respect, and belonging for everyone we serve and work alongside. Thank you to all who attended and helped make this celebration so meaningful.

Please join us for a morning of creativity and fresh-air inspiration as the Plein Air Artists of Chatham-Kent, (PAACK), visit Riverview Gardens to paint in the courtyard and surrounding outdoor areas.

On August 18 from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 11:30 a.m., residents, families, visitors, and staff are invited to enjoy the lovely sights of artists at work as they capture the charm, colour, and peaceful spirit of our surroundings. Take a stroll, pause to watch a painting come to life, and experience the joy of art unfolding right before your eyes.

It’s been another great week of activities here at Riverview Gardens!

Our 2nd floor residents had a ball with a fun baseball game, while the 5th floor enjoyed a sweet visit from the ice cream truck. The 3rd floor had a morning full of silly science experiments, including fireworks in a jar, the freezer bag and pencil trick, a Pepsi and Mentos explosion, and our own erupting volcano!

What a full week of fun, laughter, and learning together! ⚾🍦🧪🌋

What a great performance today by Chrystal Gage and Respect Revolution. These talented kids come from all over Chatham-Kent and Windsor to share a message of Anti-bullying. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the show! 🎶
