Our residents had a wonderful time celebrating Oktoberfest! With b**r, delicious snacks, lively music by Ron Bolohan, and plenty of dancing, there was no shortage of smiles and good times!

It was an afternoon filled with great music, great company, and lots of festive fun! 🍻❤️

A big thank you to Ron Bolohan for keeping the music going and our toes tapping! 🎶

A big thank you to Brenda Koldyk, Special Constable from the Chatham-Kent Police Service, for joining us to provide an informative and important Scam & Fraud Prevention Program for our residents and community members.

Brenda shared valuable information, helpful tips, and practical advice to help everyone recognize common scams, protect themselves, and stay one step ahead of fraudsters.

We truly appreciate Brenda taking the time to educate and empower our community. Thank you for helping us stay informed, aware, and safe! 💙

Today, we wore orange shirts to honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.

Wearing orange is a reminder that Every Child Matters and that learning, listening, remembering, and continuing the journey toward reconciliation are responsibilities we all share.

Today, we took a moment together to reflect, remember, and honour. 🧡

🦋 A Month of Monarch Magic 🦋

September has given us the wonderful opportunity to witness the incredible life cycle of the monarch butterfly right here in our home.

We watched in amazement as they began as tiny little caterpillars—so small that they could barely be seen with the naked eye. Over the weeks, we watched them grow, change, and eventually transform into beautiful monarch butterflies.

There was something truly special about learning and watching each stage of their journey unfold before our eyes. From something so small came something so beautiful, reminding us that life is full of change, growth, and new beginnings.

As our monarchs took their first flights and soared through the courtyard, we were reminded of the beauty in every stage of life's journey. Sometimes the smallest beginnings can lead to the most beautiful transformations. 🧡

What a special September it has been, filled with curiosity, wonder, and a few very special visitors in our courtyard. 🦋

On Friday we Celebrated Grandparents Day with a Classic Car Show!

What better way to celebrate Grandparents Day than with some beautiful cars, sweet treats, and lots of memories! ❤️

We had an amazing selection of cool cars join us for the afternoon, giving our residents, staff, and families the chance to admire the cars, share stories, and reminisce about days gone by. From favourite cars of the past to memories of cruising around with family and friends, there was plenty to talk about!

And of course, no summer celebration is complete without ice cream! 🍦☀️

It was an afternoon filled with big smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories—a perfect way to celebrate the grandparents in our lives and the stories that connect generations. 💕🚗

A huge thank you to everyone who brought out their cars and helped make the day so special!

We added a little extra sparkle at our Happy Hour last week as we celebrated the life, music, and legacy of the one and only Dolly Parton! 💕🎶

We spent the afternoon listening to some of her greatest hits, learning fun facts about her incredible life, and of course, enjoying plenty of potato chips—a fitting snack since potatoes were one of Dolly’s favourite foods! 🥔😋

There was lots of music, laughter, and a whole lot of Dolly spirit in the room! 💖🎤

“Working 9 to 5” has never sounded so good! 😉✨

Please be advised that scheduled parking lot maintenance at St. Andrew’s Residence, The Terrace, St. Andrew’s United Church, and Chatham-Kent Hospice will begin Sunday, August 16 at 7:00 p.m. and continue through Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

📍 Temporary Parking:
Parking is available at the east end of the Downtown Chatham Centre parking lot, near the railway tracks.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work to keep our parking areas safe, accessible, and well-maintained.

🔥🏕️ Campfire Memories 🏕️🔥

What a wonderful evening with family and friends! We enjoyed a delicious BBQ complete with hot dogs, hamburgers, and all the fixings, followed by a cozy evening of campfire-style music from Dan Davidson.

And of course, no campfire memories would be complete without a sweet treat - S'mores!

Good food, great music, sweet treats, and even sweeter memories made with family!
