Appointment Confirmations and No-Show Fees

Patients who confirm an appointment and fail to attend will be charged a no-show fee of $100 for initial consultations and procedures, and $50 for follow-up appointments. These fees are clearly outlined in our appointment notices.

Our office sends appointment reminders and requests confirmation. Once an appointment is confirmed, it is the patient’s responsibility to keep track of the appointment date, time, and location. We do not send repeated reminders.

We understand that other healthcare providers may have different reminder practices. Our office will notify patients as soon as possible if there are any changes to their scheduled appointments.

1) Did you make a reservation? ( You should 😉)

2) Check out our website! You can find our restaurant and gift shop hours, the FULL menu AND some great history.

3) Include the kids when making a reservation. They need space top 😊

4) Leave your pets at home ❤️

5) We are legitimately in the woods! Wear comfortable shoes 👟

6) Give yourself time before or after your reservation to walk around the property 🌲🌿 weather permitting

7) And maybe MOST IMPORTANTLY, don't worry about 100 pictures and videos to post on social media . Enjoy the company you're with and the nature around you.

Our team works hard to schedule each person’s exam efficiently. When appointments are missed without notice, administrative scheduling slows down, exam technicians are left waiting on standby, and another patient misses the opportunity to be seen sooner.

Critically ill patients will remain the priority. Patients attending the Emergency Department at CKHA for non-emergency ailments could experience longer wait times than usual.
Please seek care for non-emergency needs in community settings where possible, such as your family physician or local walk-in medical clinic to help alleviate the strain on our Emergency Departments.
