🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🌈

This June, we celebrate the diversity, strength, and contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and reaffirm our commitment to fostering inclusive, respectful, and welcoming healthcare and community spaces for everyone.

Did you know? While Pride Month is recognized in June to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Riots, many Canadian communities, including Chatham-Kent, celebrate Pride in August, honouring Canada's first major gay rights demonstration, the "We Demand Rally," held on Parliament Hill in August 1971.

As we celebrate Pride Month, we also encourage residents to look ahead to 𝐂𝐊 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟓–𝟐𝟑, a week of events that bring our community together in celebration, connection, education, and pride.
Learn more about CK Pride Week, upcoming events, and opportunities to get involved at ckpride.com.

Together, we can help create a community where everyone feels seen, valued, respected, and supported.
