Another Craft Therapy session was a wonderful success! 🌞🏖️

This week, our residents created beautiful Summer Welcome Signs for their suite doors, each one as unique as the person who made it. They chose their own personalized messages, and one creative resident even left hers blank so she can change out her favorite quotes whenever inspiration strikes!

These cheerful, beachy signs have added such a bright and welcoming summer vibe throughout our home. It's amazing how a simple craft can spark creativity, conversation, and so many smiles. 💙🌴☀️

This past weekend, we were delighted to welcome children's Jane Blondie - Author to Chatham Retirement Resort for a special book signing event!

Residents, families, and grandchildren enjoyed spending time with Jane as she shared her wonderful stories and signed copies of her books. It was heartwarming to see multiple generations come together to celebrate the joy of reading and storytelling.

A big thank you to Jane for making the day so memorable. The smiles, laughter, and excitement shared by all made for a truly delightful event!

Yesterday, we were pleased to welcome Jason from Adana Law to our Men's Group. As we continue to celebrate the success of our recent Classic Car Show, Jason shared his passion and knowledge of classic cars with our residents.

The discussion sparked plenty of memories, stories, and conversations about some truly iconic vehicles from years gone by. Thank you, Jason, for taking the time to join us and provide such an engaging presentation. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to learn, reminisce, and connect over a shared love of classic automobiles!

Today was a day filled with celebrations! 🎉🎂

We started the day with a beautiful lunch buffet prepared by Chef Luay and our amazing culinary team as we gathered to celebrate all of the birthdays we had missed throughout the year. Residents enjoyed great food, wonderful company, and plenty of smiles.

The celebrations didn't stop there! We followed up with even more cake as we recognized a very special milestone—25 years of dedication from our Recreation Aide, Stephanie. ❤️

🎶✨ Today we tried a new activity with the Levante Tranquil Echoes Singing Bowls! ✨🎶

Residents enjoyed a unique sound-bowl experience that combined relaxation, mindfulness, and the soothing vibrations of traditional singing bowls.

Singing bowls have a long and rich history rooted in the spiritual and cultural traditions of the Himalayan region. Believed to have originated over 2,000 years ago in what are now Tibet, Nepal, India, and Bhutan, these bowls were traditionally crafted from a blend of metals that symbolized harmony and balance.

The calming sounds and gentle vibrations offered many potential benefits, including:
🔹 Stress reduction through calming vibrations
🔹 Improved circulation supported by low-frequency resonance
🔹 Enhanced mental clarity and focus through attentive listening
🔹 Joint comfort and physical ease without needing movement

🌟 Looking for a way to make a difference in your community? Join us this Saturday for our Volunteer Fair!
Our recent Classic Car Show was a tremendous success, and it would not have been possible without the incredible volunteers who gave their time, energy, and support. From setup and takedown to helping residents enjoy the day, our volunteers made all the difference.
Now, we're looking for more caring and community-minded individuals to join our volunteer team! Whether you have a few hours to spare each month or are looking for a regular volunteer opportunity, there are many ways to get involved and make a positive impact in the lives of our residents.
