🫖 🍵 ☕️

In TCM, different teas have different temperatures, actions, and effects on the body. Some cool excess Heat 🔥, some warm Yang ☀️, and others help digestion, circulation, or mental clarity.

Here are some of my favorites 👇

🍃 Green Tea
Cooling and refreshing.
Great for clearing Heat, supporting digestion, and soothing Liver Qi.
Perfect for people who run hot, feel irritable, or tend toward inflammation.

🔥 Black Tea
More warming in nature.
Supports Yang, warms the Stomach, and can feel grounding and comforting, especially in colder weather or for people with cold digestion.

🍂 Oolong Tea
One of the best teas for moving stagnant Qi and resolving Dampness.
Traditionally used to support digestion after heavy or greasy meals.

🌱 Pu-erh Tea
Aged and earthy.
Excellent in TCM for strengthening the Spleen, transforming Dampness, and helping with that heavy, foggy feeling after overeating.

💚 Matcha
More concentrated than regular green tea.
Clears Heat while also helping focus and concentration.
Amazing for mental clarity without the crash of coffee.

🌾 Genmaicha
A gentle Japanese tea made with green tea and roasted rice.
Very grounding and easier on the Stomach than regular green tea.
Lovely for Spleen Qi deficiency and weak digestion.

🍋 Ginger & Lemon Tea
One of my FAVORITES.
Warms the middle burner, dispels cold, improves circulation, and supports digestion.
Wonderful during cold weather, early colds, cramps, or sluggish digestion.

✨ One thing I love about TCM is that we don’t just ask:
“Is this healthy?”

We ask:
👉 Is it warming or cooling?
👉 Does this person have excess or deficiency?
👉 Is digestion weak or strong?
👉 Is there Dampness, Heat, or Cold?

Because even healthy foods and teas may not be right for everyone at every time.
Your body constitution matters 💜

🍵 What's is your favourite tea?

👩🏼‍⚕️ Great Acupoints!

😐 Revive & Stimulate: Acupressure for Facial Paralysis

Facial paralysis or weakness, such as Bell’s palsy, can cause drooping, numbness, and difficulty with everyday facial expressions. These acupressure points are traditionally used to help stimulate the facial nerves, improve local blood circulation, and support the recovery of muscle tone.

🔹 Acupressure Points for Facial Paralysis:

B2 (Bladder 2) – Inner edge of the eyebrows
👉 Helps relieve tension around the eyes and supports nerve stimulation in the upper face

ST2 (Stomach 2) – Just below the eyes, on the cheekbone
👉 Improves circulation to the cheek and helps relieve facial twitching or numbness

ST4 (Stomach 4) – Just outside the corner of the mouth
👉 Helps relieve drooping of the mouth, drooling, and local muscle stiffness

ST6 (Stomach 6) – At the angle of the lower jaw, on the prominent chewing muscle
👉 Releases deep jaw tension and stimulates the lower facial nerves

TW17 (Triple Warmer 17) – In the depression just behind the earlobe
👉 A vital point for facial nerve issues, helping to clear stagnation and reduce facial spasms

🌀 Technique:

Apply gentle pressure for 1 minute per point (avoid aggressive rubbing)

Massage slowly in small, stimulating circular motions

Practice 1–2 times daily, with clean hands

✨ Supportive Tips:
✔ Perform gentle facial exercises daily to help retrain weakened muscles
✔ Protect the affected eye with lubricating drops or an eye patch if it cannot fully close
✔ Apply a warm compress to the face to soothe tight or aching muscles
✔ Avoid cold drafts or fans blowing directly on your face, which can worsen symptoms

⚠️ Note:
Acupressure may help support facial nerve recovery, but it does not replace medical treatment. Seek professional emergency care immediately at the onset of sudden facial paralysis to rule out a stroke and receive proper medical intervention.

Happy Victoria Day! Hopefully you can get out and enjoy the sunshine today.☀️ 🌅 🚶

Medicine can come in many forms, and daily habits often support the work your body already tries to do. Movement, rest, sunlight, laughter, vegetables, gratitude, friendship, and quiet reflection can all help you feel more alive, steady, and connected.

Medical care still matters. Prescribed treatment, professional advice, and routine checkups can save lives. Daily wellness habits do not replace them, but they can support your body between appointments and help you take a more active role in your own care.

Choose one form of daily medicine today. Take a walk, drink water, call a friend, stretch, eat something fresh, or sit in silence for five minutes. Healing often begins with small acts repeated with love. 🌅💚
