Commonly forgotten is the fourth trimester; the precious time after birth has happened, where mother and baby must rest and hands-on community support is needed the most. Postpartum with a new baby is incredible and beautiful, and can also be exhausting and lonely as women make the massive transition from maiden to mother, or being reborn as a mother to more children. My job is to honour and care
for the mother nutritionally, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually throughout this monumental evolution from pregnancy to after birth, decreasing the changes of post-partum depression, malnutrition, resentment of partner, “mom rage” and burnout that is becoming more common as our society moves further away from the village approach. My goal is to leave each mother feeling seen, heard, warm, confident and thriving. I am also here to support women who have lost pregnancies, through natural means or those who have had to end pregnancies through abortion. Both losses can be intense, and my role is to hold and nourish women in whatever means necessary as they move through the tender emotional, physical and hormonal experiences that may occur during and afterwards. Please see my page for my current detailed offerings, or message me with your particular individual needs so we can figure out together how to serve you best. No request is too small. Do not feel guilty asking for help - postpartum support is your birthright! My current offerings include, but is not limited to:
