Free Webinar With Terry Real, Celeste Davis & Me:
"After Epstein: A Community Conversation on Betrayal, Silence, and Healing"

For those who don't know Terry or Celeste, Terry Real is a couples therapist and the founder of Relational Life Therapy (RLT), a therapy that specializes in upending patriarchy, calling out "one up" grandiosity and lifting up "one down" oppressed people, and helping couples survive the impact of patriarchy, power and privilege, and the grandiosity that can come with such power and privilege. My favorite of his many books and audio programs is "Fierce Intimacy," an audio program with Sounds True. I also love Us.

Celeste Davis just wrote a viral blog post on Substack that I absolutely love (me and millions of others) about why nobody in the mainstream media is saying the one word that explains how Epstein and his cronies got away with such egregious behavior- PATRIARCHY. I'll link to her post in the comments below. Celeste is a writer and cultural critic whose weekly Substack newsletter, Matriarchal Blessing, reaches more than 30,000 subscribers. With a Master’s Degree in Sociology, Celeste brings language to the systemic patterns that shape our relationships and choices — the things many of us sense but struggle to name.

I could not be more excited to even be a fly on the wall to Terry and Celeste, much less to actually get to dialogue with them!

Here's the description of the call:

The Epstein files brought something to the surface, and for many of us, something deeply personal. This is a space to be together with it.

LIVE Thursday, March 19 | 12–1:30pm ET
With: Terry Real, Lissa Rankin, MD & Celeste Davis
Free to attend, This call will not be recorded – we want this to be a safe space to share and process.

Why We’re Coming Together Now
You’ve seen the headlines: the Epstein files, the names, the unsettling silence around it. And maybe it’s stirred something up inside you.

Maybe it surfaced a memory or a grief you can’t quite name. Perhaps you’ve been carrying something quietly for weeks without knowing where to bring it.

And like many of us, maybe it’s also brought up complicated feelings about people or institutions we once trusted.

If you can relate to this, know that you’re not alone. You’re not imagining it – and you’re not overreacting.

Many in our community have reached out and asked Terry to speak about this moment. This call is a response to that – an invitation to come together as a community, not to listen in on what we have to say but to share and hear from each other.

What Will Happen On The Call

Terry, Lissa, and Celeste will open with reflections to begin. Then the space opens to you. The majority of this call is yours – a place to share your experiences and questions, whatever you’re carrying.

We’re not here to “fix” anything. We’re here to be together.

This Call May Be Helpful If

-The Epstein revelations brought up something personal you weren't expecting – and you haven't had a place to bring it.

-You're holding space for others while quietly processing your own reaction.

-You've been carrying something about this moment and could use a room where people are willing to be honest.

=You simply don't want to be alone with what you're feeling.

I'll post the registration link in the comments below.

I'm starting my training on Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) this morning and am excited to offer this modality to help folks heal deep brainstem preeffective shock and resolve trauma, including preverbal.

What is DBR?
Most therapeutic modalities focus on cortical (top-down) processing of narrative memory or the limbic (middle-out) processing of emotional states. Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) targets the subcortical origins of the trauma response, specifically within the brainstem. It works with a threat before an emotional or cognitive appraisal even occurs.

The protocol prioritizes the resolution of the initial shock in the system, which subsequently reduces the intensity of the panic and terror that typically overwhelm the client's capacity for integration. Because the focus remains on the physiological sequence of the brainstem's response rather than a narrative recount, the nervous system can update to a state of safety without the high risk of retraumatization.

Let me know if you'd like to try DBR and I'll find some accessible resources for you to learn more if you're curious.

I had a client ask me for recommendations for their friends because they found that a lot of therapy feels more like venting but not actually transformational. There are so many different modalities and styles out there, but if you too are looking for something more experiencial and less cognitive and intellectual, look for folks who are trained in these different modalities: IFS, AEDP, Somatic (IBP, Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi, PSIP, DBO)or EMDR. These are processing theories that attempt to connect to emotional roots and incorporate memory reconsolidation and are trauma modalities. I hope that helps!

I included a random side eye picture of my helper for interest. 😆

For a long time, I cultivated a sense of self around my painful emotional experiences of the world. There’s something shifting now where rather than orienting myself to an identity linked to my grief, shame, or loss, I feel very connected to an overarching sense of love.

This shift from pain to love has actually been disorienting—I have had to let go of who I thought “I” was.
But in reality, “I” wasn’t my pain.
So letting go of that previous version of myself—it required a deep trust that something would be on the other side.

To my surprise, what was on the other side wasn’t another pain story
it was love. It was my heart, a big beautiful heart
and she was waiting for me to return to her all this time.
Now, I feel a deep desire to express this love in the world
this is literally what drives me. It is a soul level experience of being guided by where my heart meets the heart of the world.

I thought I would share a study for anyone struggling with treatment resistant depression. Here is the information:

The Atai Study is investigating a potential treatment that combines DMT—a psychedelic compound—with psychological support. It’s designed for individuals with major depression who haven’t found relief from standard antidepressants.

You may be eligible if you:

Are between 18 years and 65 years of age
Have been diagnosed with major depression (single or recurrent episodes)
Have not responded to 2–5 antidepressant treatments for your current episode.
Have no more than 2 lifetime experiences with psychedelics

Would you like more information?
Click the button below to schedule a quick call. We’ll walk you through the study details and ask a few questions to see if you might be eligible. Scheduling a call doesn’t commit you to anything—it’s just a chance to learn more.
