Hand eye coordination in sports is vital for performance, and it isn’t simply about athletic ability. It’s actually a Nervous System skill.
When you catch a ball, hit a puck, return a tennis serve or dribble down the court, something incredible happens behind the scenes in the brain and in the nervous system.
Before your hand reacts —> your brain has to:
✔️ Process visual information from the eyes
✔️ Predict where the ball or object is moving
✔️ Calculate speed, distance and timing
✔️ Send precise messages through the nervous system
✔️ Activate the correct muscles at exactly the right moment
When the brain and body communicate fluidly, you will see your body have the ability to react faster, with better timing and accuracy and more efficient movement patterns, and better decision making under pressure. Doesn’t every athlete have desire this!
Athletic performance begins within the nervous system 🤯 every athlete would benefit from Chiropractic Care as part of their overall training and performance routine!
This is something we hear from our patients who have children enrolled in sports- the improvements they see in their skills since starting care is noticeably different!
Better communication. Better coordination. Better performance 🏀 ⚾️ 🎾
Have you incorporated Chiro into your training routine?
