🏎️☀️ It’s Soapbox Derby day in the Municipality of Brighton !

Our St. John Ambulance Northumberland Medical First Responder Unit is out supporting today’s event and helping keep racers, spectators, and volunteers safe throughout the day.

We’re also working alongside Brighton Fire and Rescue and the Ontario Provincial Police - Central Region Auxiliary. It’s always great to see local teams coming together to support community events.

Good luck to all the racers, and have a fantastic day, Brighton! 🚑🏁

☀️🚑 Two great days at the 32nd Annual Alderville First Nation Pow Wow!

Yesterday marked the start of an incredible weekend, and today we're back on-site continuing to provide medical coverage as the celebrations carry on. It's been an honour to support such a meaningful event and see so many people come together to celebrate culture, tradition, and community.

We're also grateful to be working alongside our emergency service partners, including Ontario Provincial Police - Central Region and Northumberland Paramedics, whose teamwork helps make events like this a success.

If you're joining us today, enjoy the Pow Wow, stay hydrated in the summer heat, and have a wonderful time. We look forward to seeing you out there! 🚑☀️

🇨🇦☀️ Happy Canada Day from the Cobourg Waterfront Festival!

Our St. John Ambulance Northumberland Medical First Responder Unit is back on-site today, helping keep everyone safe as thousands gather to celebrate.

With the humidex already reaching 39°C, it's especially important to take care of yourself in the heat:
💧 Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
🌳 Take breaks in the shade or an air conditioned space when you can.
🧢 Wear light clothing, a hat, and sunscreen.
⚠️ If you or someone around you starts feeling dizzy, nauseous, or confused, don't ignore it. Find help right away.

You'll find us in our usual location at the southwest corner of Victoria Park, beside the Bandshell. Stop by if you need assistance or just want to say hello.

Yesterday was just the beginning! 🌊🚑

Day two of the Cobourg Waterfront Festival is in full swing, and our St. John Ambulance Northumberland Medical First Responder Unit is back on-site helping keep the festival safe for everyone enjoying the waterfront.

Whether you're checking out the vendors, taking in the entertainment, or spending the day by the lake, remember to stay hydrated and enjoy everything the festival has to offer.

🌊☀️ The Cobourg Waterfront Festival is back, and so are we!

Day one is underway, and our St. John Ambulance Northumberland Medical First Responder Unit is proud to be providing medical coverage throughout the festival. You can find us in our usual spot at the southwest corner of Victoria Park, beside the Bandshell.

A great start to the weekend alongside our friends at Cobourg Police Service helping make this another safe and enjoyable festival for everyone.

🚒🚑 Last night, members of our and Durham's Medical First Responder Unit had the opportunity to participate in a joint training exercise with Brighton Fire and Rescue. We were invited to take part in an auto extrication training session, giving our members valuable insight into the challenges and techniques involved in vehicle rescue operations and their members a more in-depth look at the medical-centric side of the rescue!

A big thank you to Brighton Fire & Rescue for the invitation and for sharing their knowledge and expertise. Training together helps us all work more effectively when it matters most. 💪🚒🚑

🏍️🚑 Today our St. John Ambulance Northumberland Medical First Responder Unit had the privilege of supporting the Honour Roll Motorcycle Ride as it travelled the Highway of Heros from Trenton to Oshawa.
After a cloudy start, the weather turned sunny just in time for the ride to begin, making for a fantastic day on the road. We were proud to be part of this event, helping to support the riders as they honoured and remembered those who have served and sacrificed.
A huge thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and participants who made the day a success. Safe travels to all! ☀️🏍️

🚣‍♂️☀️ We’re back at Float Your F***y Down the Ganny in Port Hope on this beautiful sunny day! Our St. John Ambulance Northumberland Medical First Responder Unit is out on the course helping keep everyone safe during this iconic river run.

We’re proud to be working alongside Ontario Power Generation , Port Hope Police Service , Ontario Community Emergency Assistance Program - OCEAP Search & Rescue, Port Hope Fire Northumberland Paramedics — it’s a true team effort to make this event safe and successful for everyone involved.

🏖️☀️ Today we're also at the Cobourg Sandcastle Festival, where the beach is buzzing with creativity, sunshine, and community spirit! Our St. John Ambulance Northumberland Medical First Responder Unit is on-site making sure everyone stays safe while enjoying the sand, sun, and spectacular sculptures.
