If you’ve ever wondered what actually happens inside a real Pilates teacher training (beyond the glossy version), I want to walk you through it.

Because at EAST, we don’t just teach you exercises — we teach you how to see bodies differently.

Here’s what we focus on inside the EAST Method:

We start with anatomy and biomechanics — but not in a textbook way. It’s hands-on, applied, and constantly connected back to what you’ll actually see in a class setting. You learn things like breath mechanics, pelvic floor function, and how common postural patterns show up in real people (not idealized ones).

Then we move into the Pilates repertoire — mat and reformer — but always with layers of progression and modification. You’re not just memorizing sequences; you’re learning how to adapt them for different bodies, different levels, and different needs.

We spend a lot of time on teaching skills too — because this is where most programs fall short. Things like cueing that actually lands, sequencing a class so it flows and builds properly, and how to communicate in a way that feels clear, inclusive, and confident.

And then there’s the part that often surprises people: the business side. Because being a good teacher isn’t enough if you don’t know how to actually build a career from it. We talk about that honestly.

Everything is supported by practicum hours, mentorship, and real teaching practice inside the studio — not just observation from the sidelines.
