🌧️ Tree Frog Spirit Animal: A Little Messenger After the Rain 🌿✨

The tree frog is a beautiful symbol of transformation, renewal, intuition, adaptability, emotional cleansing and new beginnings.

At Cedar Cove Wellness, tree frogs often appear on the outside of our garden door during or just after the rain. Over time, these little visitors have become especially meaningful to me. Seeing one quietly waiting there feels like a gentle reminder to stop, notice and pay attention. 💚

Rain is often associated with cleansing, release and renewal. It refreshes the earth and creates space for new growth. Then, during or after the rain, a little tree frog appears at the door—as though carrying a message:

✨ Release what is ready to leave
✨ Trust the changes taking place
✨ Listen to your intuition
✨ Stay adaptable
✨ Be open to a new direction
✨ Have faith in your next step

The garden door adds another layer of meaning. A doorway is a threshold—a place between where we have been and where we are going. When a tree frog appears there, it feels like a beautiful reminder of guidance, transition and moving forward.

Tree frogs also teach us about patience and timing. A frog may remain still for a long time before making its next movement. Not every moment requires action. Sometimes we are being asked to observe, listen and trust that we will know when it is time to make our next leap.

I don’t believe every encounter needs a fixed meaning. Sometimes simply noticing an animal and being present with nature is meaningful enough. 🌿

But when the same animal appears repeatedly, in the same special place and under the same circumstances, it can invite us to reflect:

What am I ready to release?
Where am I being guided?
What is waiting on the other side of the threshold?

Sometimes guidance arrives loudly. Sometimes it arrives as a feeling. And sometimes it comes as a tiny green frog sitting quietly at the garden door after the rain. 🐸🌧️💚✨

🌿 Gentle, Inclusive Reiki 🌿

Every person is unique, with their own strengths, communication style, sensory needs, preferences and boundaries.

At Cedar Cove Wellness, gentle and adaptable Reiki sessions welcome neurodivergent children and adults, people with Down syndrome, and people with other exceptionalities or disabilities. Each session is tailored to the individual with patience, kindness and respect.

A person does not need to lie still on a treatment table, close their eyes or remain quiet to receive Reiki. Children and adults may choose to:

✨ Sit, lie down, stand or move around
✨ Talk, colour or enjoy a familiar activity

✨ Hold a favourite comfort item
✨ Take breaks whenever needed
✨ Have a parent, caregiver or support person nearby
Reiki may be offered using gentle touch when the person is comfortable and agrees, or with the practitioner’s hands held just above or near the body. Comfort, boundaries and personal preferences are always respected.

A Reiki session may offer an opportunity for:

💜 Relaxation and peaceful time
💜 Comfort and emotional support
💜 Easing feelings of stress or overwhelm
💜 Supporting emotional regulation
💜 Developing greater body awareness
💜 Supporting overall well-being
There is no “right” way to receive Reiki. Some people relax quietly, while others prefer to talk, move, colour or hold a familiar object. The experience is shaped around what helps each person feel safe, comfortable and supported.

Parents, caregivers and support people are welcome to share information about communication preferences, sensory sensitivities and comfort needs.

🐾✨ Animal Reiki Training Workshop ✨🐾

Saturday, August 29th
9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Spend a meaningful day learning how to offer Reiki to animals with confidence, compassion and respect.

The morning portion will be held at Cedar Cove Wellness in the Cobourg, Ontario area. In the afternoon, we will visit PrimRose Donkey Sanctuary, where participants will practise offering Reiki to the donkeys, mules and cats.

You will learn:

🐾 How to approach animals respectfully with Reiki
✨ Animal chakras and energy imbalances
🌿 Grounding techniques for working with animals
👐 Hands-on and hands-off Reiki positions
💫 How to begin and end an Animal Reiki session
🥣 How to energize food, water, blankets and other items
🌈 Reiki techniques and colour therapy for animals

You will also participate in an Animal Spirit Guide meditation and receive a Reiki-infused crystal and towel to take home.

Prerequisite: First Degree Reiki (Reiki Level One)

Maximum of 6 participants. A minimum of 4 participants is required for the workshop to run.
