Animal week was packed with adventure (and cute critters) as the crew visited Reptilia, the Big Apple, the turtle sanctuary, the human society, and the Toronto Zoo. They also used their skills in the kitchen to make bird feeders from seeds.

🎒 Help us fill backpacks and futures! 📚✏️

Community Living & Respite Northumberland is proud to once again partner with Northumberland United Way Backpack Program to help ensure local students head back to school with the supplies they need to succeed.

From Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12, every child deserves to start the school year feeling confident and prepared—and you can help make that happen!

We're collecting new school supplies, including:
📓 Notebooks & binders
✏️ Pencils, pens & crayons
🖍️ Markers & highlighters
📐 Math sets & calculators
🎒 Backpacks
🖇️ Glue sticks, scissors, pencil cases
…and any other school essentials!

Donations can be dropped off at our CLRN offices during regular business hours.

Every notebook, pencil, and backpack makes a difference. Together, we can help local students start the school year ready to learn.

Thank you for supporting our community's children! 💙

As we kick off this season's Backpacks for Kids donation drives, our first thank you goes to Community Living & Respite Northumberland for hosting a school supply donation drive in support of Backpacks for Kids. Because when children and youth start the school year without the supplies they need, they can feel like they don't belong - and Community Living & Respite Northumberland is stepping up to make sure fewer kids do. ❤️

We need your support to fill 850 new backpacks with school supplies, snacks, and age-appropriate hygiene products this season. Industry sponsorships available now: contact April Day, Backpacks Program Lead, at 905-372-6955, or email [email protected].
