Going back to the gym after Dimitri’s stay in the ICU in 2021 was challenging. It took time and lots of support for him to feel confident working out by himself. In the beginning he had family go with him. Over time he asked other gym goers, until he was able to workout independently and confidently once again.

In memory five years after the accident, this is what life was like before. Thankfully, with years of treatment and intervention, Dimitri is able to ride his bike, go to the gym and do (with reason) “whatever he likes” again.
